Even after he succeeded at what he planned to do, he is technically alone because Davesprite's John and Jade are dead, and his Rose is nonexistent. Does anyone else ever feel like this song when you look at it past the cool upbeat tone to it secretly is kinda of a depressing song in disguise when you think about Davesprite's character in general? The one thing i always got from this song whenever i listened to it was that the upbeat vibe to it represented Davesprite trying to remind himself that he hasn't changed and he's still the same cool kid he was before sburb. But at that moment 1:30 he's hit with a revelation and then all of his insecurities, self esteem issues and his inferiority complex come crashing down on him.

Davesprite's journey is really sad, having to learn that he was a crucial point of the game succeeding, at the cost of his friends. And alternate versions of his friends treating him like dirt because "he's not the real dave", even though he's the only reason they're still around. Having to deal with his part being finished, not being a main player anymore. And I think it's really nice how the person that was able to mend his heart in the end wasn't his friends, it was the random troll catgirl, the heart player. The one with forever unrequired love for the person davesprite's alternate self ends up with in the end. Both being taught to let go, and to focus on what's more important, as one. Two negatives equals a positive kinda way.

actually, I'm really happy to hear this canonized as Davesprite's theme. I heard the tune ages ago as a track called Hawkeye, which I presumed was created in response to the teaser of Dave's seppucrow sprite. Basically, this track was Dave's version of Nannasprite's "Harlequin." Hawkeye was later remixed into tracks like Sunsetter. It's kind of nice seeing it reassociated with his sprite theme.

Ok, how do I start... You know Toby Fox, the creator of a hit game Undertale (and then Deltarune)? This song was written by him. This is a character of Homestuck, a not-so-famous webcomic written by Andrew Hussie (you probably don't know him), that started in 2009 and ended in 2016, right when Undertale was gaining its popularity. The webcomic is VERY, VERY long, so not everyone can read it entirely. The story is difficult to explain, so... Go read it I guess? The dude on the thumbnail is actually one of my favorite characters (to be extremely simple, he is a ghost copy of one of the main characters, but actually better than the original). Maybe you should listen to other songs from this OST, and YEAH I FORGOT TO MENTION: the ost has over 900 tracks and multiple albums, because a lot of composers made their songs, but only one out of 20 could get into the comic itself. Toby actually was a coordinator of the music team, so I'm sure you can find tracks much better than this (including beta-version of Another Medium and Megalovania)
