Thanks for answering my question before I asked it. I wondered why you would need a separate amp in a home theater system. Now I know why. That amp looks super classy. A simple black face with a blue power switch. Elegant. BTW I just bought a 77 inch OLED TV and you look great. And huge. LOL

Great review. Not many people ever talk about Outlaw Audio. I have the 755 which is probably about 20 years old. A 5 channel amp at 200 watts in 8 ohms or 300 watts per channel into 4 ohms. It’s a freaking beast, I’ll never get rid of it, (because I can’t lift it) 😂

I'm in the process of upgrading my HTS. It's been nearly 20 years since I've had anything new so I'm replacing everything SONY and going for KLIPSCH speakers all around paired with a DENON AVR-X4800H. I have been eyeing the OUTLAW 5000X 5-CHANNEL amp and will probably go that route for budget reasons. Thanks for the heads-up about their sale. I'll go there and see what's available. Good vid. Great review. Hard to beat an ATI design based amp and oh btw with XLR connections ! Solid Amplifier. Outlaw has been underrated for far to long. To bad reviewers didn't review their top subs in the past to let everyone in on their line up before they discontinued them. They kicked A$$ and were a also under advertised. Check out their pancake flat mono block amps too. Those are serious value and performance contenders. ✌🏼

I could hear a difference in the low piano key notes at the beginning. They sounded thin with the Denon, fuller with the Outlaw and a bit fuller with the Monolith.

When you played the Outlaw with more power 😳 my phone was shaking. 😳😛 Very nice video my friend. These amps are well priced. I'll definitely look into them in the near future. I wonder if they make a more powerful three channel or if you can bridge two channels ❓🤔. 👍😎

I have owned the Model 2200 x3 for LCR, Model 7700, and now the 7220. Which all seem to be discontinued now. This seems to be the case with a lot of Outlaw Audio products. They only support an item for a few years and then its gone. The mono amps lasted about 5 years and about 7 for the 7700 until i started getting static noise in some of the channels. I am on my 4th year with the Model 7220 so we will see how long it holds up. As far as quality sound, I have ZERO complaints with any of their amps I have owned. Great review on the 7000x!

Yeah i have mine now for 2or3yrs and yes very nice amp,i use it to run my 6 dolby atmos speakers,but yes the hum is quick to notice great video

Exactly, having an outboard amp will give you more clarity, better dynamics, and more bass finesse when PUSHED above the limits of the avr amps. Long as you have preouts on your avr, one have an upgrade path to add a separate amplifier. Oh yeah, avr runs cooler when configured with a separate amp..

I got one and grabbing another to power 14 channels of chane audio speaker thru a arcam AV41, just debating on going atmos or auro configuration before i start drilling holes in my walls.

Do you listen at reference in a larger room? That avr is probably giving you about 100W all of your channels driven. So this amp is giving you a bit more headroom for sure if you actually need it but not a lot for the money compared to the avr. It might be cheap compared to some others but I wouldn't consider it good value pairing to a cheaper avr without balanced outputs. If you need something similar the emotiva is a fair bit cheaper still. Tonewinner probably offer the best value amps with balanced inputs too. Their 7 channel is about 1600 bucks so granted a fair bit more but gives 310W if you actually need power. They also do an 11 channel for 2000 that's 350W LCR and 155W for the others. Whilst I'm sure this is a nice piece of equipment emotiva offers much better budget value if your avr is struggling at higher channel counts but your power needs are modest and tonewinner offers much better value if you need more power. Maybe check them out and see what you think.

So I picked up a model 950 pre/pro this time last year, the plan is to make it the control center of my hybrid stereo/5.1 rig. Im just waiting for the chance to pickup the amp that goes with it to fully assemble the rig. For now My Marantz receiver and Hafler amp will remain.

Any chance you could check the first 4 digits of the serial number for me? I just bought a 7000X and have hum only in the left channel amp, so trying to work with tech support. My amp shows 2010-xxxx but that almost seems like a date of manufacture?

I have a 7000x and 5000x paired with my Denon x3700h for full 7.2.4 and yeah, these amps rock. I can play a movie at very loud volumes and by the time it's over, these amps are barely even warm. Side Note: my initial (refurb) unit had a faulty remote trigger, and they wasted no time replacing it for me. Definitely would recommend.

@vinnycthatwhoibe If you invested that much into your amps, time to upgrade to real seperates and get a processor. Highly recommend the anthem avm 70 for your configuration. I had the same model denon as you and heard an improvement with a emotiva basx a11 but when I got the avm 70 sound quality improved big time. Just upgraded the amp to 2 outlaw 7000x and the improvement jump in quality was smaller again. Long story short get the processor brother you won’t be dissatisfied
