I got this same when it just came out a few years ago. Yesterday had to pull it out of my rack to check some connections and was reminded of its hefty weight, it feels like a concrete brick. The performance is incredible, once had a big party, cranked it really loud for a long time and went to check in between if it wasn’t too hot, and nope just luke warm. The clean sound and performance are incredible. Just watched Twisters roaring through my room, phenomenal! Top quality reasonably priced.

I've been using an Outlaw Model 5000 for about 8 years now and absolutely love it. I had it paired with the 975 processor until I upgraded to a Marantz SR5014. Fun fact, I found about Outlaw Audio through a magazine and liked the name. It was so different and intriguing that I bought it. I also have two AC Infinity fans keeping it cool.

I was seriously impressed with the amp. It's definitely a solid piece of kit.

I have this amp powering my Atmos speakers. It is a solid amp, very happy with it.

I own a 7700 Outlaw. Great power, good sound. SUPER HEAVY. Also have 3 of the monoblocks to fill in the extra channels. Not a single regret. 200 watts a channel. This new model has the XLR in, which is critical for killing noise to signal ratio.

FYI, NEVER try one of these in your house if you have no application. Because you will never go back to a receiver amplified system.

I totally agree. Separates are a whole different animal.

I own this Amp and have had it for little over a year. At 61 lbs it is a beast. I have it hook up to my Onkyo RZ50. Best $999 I think you can spend on and amp. If you think this one is heavy It's big brother the 7900 come in at 145 lbs. Can watch movies for hours and the 7000 never get warm😊

Did you buy yours new or used I have one close to me for sale but they want 1500 for it
@MarkStewart-w2vАй бұрын

Outlaw specs are much better than Emotiva specs, especially THD. I have 4ohm speakers so that was important to me. This is true even compared to Emotiva's XPA line. That's why I went with Outlaw over Emotiva a few years ago.

emotiva has the worst fucking customer service ever.. ive tried for over a year, to come in contact with them.. and their sales are so garbage its insane! they have the feature, to get a mail when things come for sale again.. they then send a mail, but its not possible to buy it anyways! just based off their super shitty customer og sales service. and that they never, have anything in stock... shows how shitty, and idiotic that company is!! and that you should never ever buy from them!!

Gonna go back to outlaw here soon gonna do the mono blocks especially since I have a 4 ohm center and 8 ohm left and right

Those mono blocks look really good!

Hello! Can you disable in the Onkyo menu the speaker outputs when you use the RCA pre-outs? Or how the receiver knows your using and external amp?
@Upscaled_HTАй бұрын
Not on my receiver. Some receivers do have a pre amp mode though
@Alambe72714 сағат бұрын
Also, the receiver will know that using preamps because you will have your RCA cables connected in those RCA inputs and outputs are always live

I’d bet the outlaw weighs more because it’s got a toroid coil in it as opposed to the power modules that Emotiva uses for their current XPA set ups.
@Upscaled_HTАй бұрын
That probably has something to do with it. The Outlaw uses a more traditional power supply design and to provide the power this delivers, it needs to be big and heavy. The Emotive uses a switch mode power supply, which is more modern and significantly lighter. They're both good solutions. I'm old school I guess and see heaviness as a sign of quality. This older tech is time tested too.

@ I don’t doubt it and yeah I get that. I’m an emotiva XPA and RMC user. First dive into separates for me and I’ve been very happy 😃 Thanks for sharing this review.

Musical Fidelity, IotaVx, Outlaw und Emotiva kommen alle aus der selben Fabrik und unterscheiden sich kaum bis überhaut nicht....
