Hi Lydia, just b/c someone is offended by something that you've said, it does not mean that you have said/ done something wrong

I’ve always loved Ricky Gervais’s quote...”Just because you’re offended, doesn’t mean you’re right.” I think it’s a sentiment we should all keep in mind for our own sanity....and attempt to be a little kinder with our criticisms knowing it.

N B understandably she is sensitive to the relentless criticism of the few, I gather she is a perfectionist that wants to please all. Feel sorry about that but they will always be critics from the sidelines, glad she is pushing through!👌

Lydia you're so much like me with regards to not wanting to upset anyone and worrying. Your honesty is so refreshing & we're all human, it's nice to know I'm not alone in that sense. Your videos continue to bring me joy, entertainment & I find them super comforting. Please never listen to the not-so-nice people out there, because your videos mean so much to those who love your content!! The mean people are clearly very unhappy & feel the need bring others down too, which is actually sad in itself. Keep up what you're doing because you shine 😊 Xx

FYI the reason you “wet” your hair before a mask is not the water it’s the heat and water. You use warm water and opens the hair shaft to be able to receive the moisture of the mask.

If you use the product on wet hair it will lock in the moisture. Your hair will be able to absorb the product better wet! It’s why lots of girls with curly or wavy hair use gels and creams on their hair soaking wet: for extra moisture and to make the products soak in! I don’t know what the instructions are for this mask in particular but if it says to use on wet hair it will likely increase its effectiveness! And if it only says to leave for 15 mins then that’ll be enough and you don’t need to keep your hair wet overnight. Hope this helps! Xxx

I don’t understand why people bother to leave nasty messages? Why not just move on? I think that type of person is probably miserable and they derive some type of pleasure knowing they’re getting to you. Sad. Well adjusted people prefer to occupy their time in a more positive and productive manner. Just ignore them altogether, don’t let them see you sweat and let them get bored and move onto their next unfortunate victim. 💟

Why on earth do people keep watching things they don’t like just so they can complain about it . These are the people that don’t deserve your time so stop worrying it is their problem not yours . They need to do something useful with their time like volunteering instead of spending their time being negative and nasty to other people as if we have not got enough going on at this time . GO DO SOMETHING USEFUL TROLLS AND LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE . Lydia you are bringing brightness to our days xxxx

I think we have become so insensitive because we can say things to each other via a screen without seeing the reaction or destruction that’s created by our comments. I was just talking to a friend about this who also does KZbin and was telling her I actually think these people that comment such vial things are really bitter that they aren’t out there living their dreams, they dont want to put the work in, they dont have the drive, and it makes them seethe with anger seeing someone like you or any other successful influencer work hard and achieve their goals. So long story short the comments genuinely have nothing to do with you, its 100% about that person looking at their own life and wishing they had done more with it.

Hey Lydia, here is what i‘ve learned: Shampoo opens and cleans the hair shaft, only then the mask can really penetrate the hair and work its magic. Also, when ur hair is wet (''damp'', towel dry ish) ,its more porous, so will absorb more product......for example, when u die/bleach hair, it is on dry hair, as die/bleach is so harsh, so putting die/bleach on wet hair is not recommended, as the dry hair gives a little buffer from the harsh chemicals reaching the core of your hair.

You’re not going to be liked by everybody: nobody is liked by everybody. If you can’t accept that not everyone is going to like you, you might be in the wrong job. I’m not saying that it’s acceptable for people to be rude, but some jobs require more resilience than others, (my job requires ALOT of resilience) and if you don’t have that resilience it’s going to make you unhappy. Life’s too short to be unhappy with what you do for a job.

The courage to be disliked - a good book. Also, I’m trying to remember I don’t have to be particularly **understood** either. We can end up on the defensive, well meaning people in our lives wanting to know reasons for how we walk/talk to our entire lifestyle. Don’t get caught up in the cycle of explanation. Just say, because I like it.

My personal experience is that becoming indifferent to people’s criticisms is a wisdom that comes with age. In my 20’s I cared a great deal about being liked. Now, approaching 40, I’ve realised how unimportant this is and there’s so much more to life than trying to please people you don’t even know.

Functions of beauty is WAY too expansive, more than professional hair care brands, it’s absurd

Not necessarily, kerastase is $45.00 cad a bottle. So $90.00 cad for the pair approximately. It boils down to perspective I suppose and finding what works for you and your hair. 😊

your aesthetic is what attracted me here on your channel, however the quality of your videos and just the way you present yourself is what made me stay.

I think the people that are saying you come off as being perfect is just because you are graceful and deal with negativity in a graceful way

Castor oil is great for hair, but you’re only suppose to use a few drops mixed in with other oils. Try it again with other hair oils, and you’ll see how good it is

I had the same hair issues as you have been suffering. I bought the briogeo scalp revival stimulating therapy massager and honestly it's a game changer. Think you can get any brand but I use it for shampoo and conditioner and it's helps ensure its all out. It's amazing

I absolutely love 25 Beautiful Homes. I've bought it for years and only missed it once ,due to it being on the back seat of the car, just before a head on car crash.I often wonder what was in it that month, but haven't bought the back issue. I think you'd love it too xxxx

You could dampen your hair with a water-spray before applying the hair mask instead of having it completely wet or completely dry, this way it will be easier to spread the product throughout too, and dampening your hair will help the product absorb into the hair as some actives in the mask might only be activated when wetted ❤️ hair isnt like a sponge so it wont absorb the water first and then not allow the mask to absorb. Masks mainly work by a reaction with the charge in the hair and not so much ur hair absorbing the product into it ❤️❤️

My friend recommended function of beauty, but I didn't take much notice. Other youtubers and bloggers I follow have recommended it, but I didn't take much notice. Lydia recommends it, and I am straight to that website!

If you were a post woman living in a council estate. There would be someone with something nasty to say. The thing to remember is you don’t do it for them! Be yourself and don’t apologise for who you are and what you own.

You shouldn't be bothered about people who hate on you because they're just upset their life isn't as perfect as yours and project that in a wrong way. I personally think you're so lovely and aspire to be as balanced between graceful and goofy as you 🥰😂 I love your vlogs so much!
