Seems to be slightly shorter than DOK which was already short and only priced at 45 euros. Needed about a 50% longer campaign or so. Makkan and the Taidan emperor and even the religious leader in DOK seem to be much more menacing than this queen even tough they had much less dialog. If we just look at HW1 from 1999. You had Raiders as early-game enemies with their ship design. You could optionally buy tech from the Bentusi race. Mid game you had Kadeshi with different tech as enemies including the multi-beam frigates. And of course, the Taidan empire was the main enemy faction. Cataclysm also had quite many factions sadly it did not got remastered. So HW3 seems to have fewer types of ships. Still it is an okay game maybe can be patched or mods might improve it.

I agree, this Incarnate queen is a raving lunatic, Makaan was cold and calculating, the Taidaan emperor was the same, the Gaalsien Khad Sajuuk was also calm in his demeanor and conviction. Giving us the Khar-Kushan straight from mission 1 was a bad call. It was given no escort. NONE. The friggin freighters in Hiigara's atmosphere were sorrounded by warships, and they've sent Khar-Kushan off without production capabilities and no escort! This could've started small, on an exploration Carrier, looking for Karan. Then, moving onto Khar-Sajuuk mid game, once we found her dead, and the reason for hiding the Cores was revealed. With a totally different enemy too... The Veil stuff is just bonkers stupid. Bentusi were trading all over the Outer Rim for thousands of years and now we discover this "empire," which cleanses half the galaxy in a few weeks. Nothing in this is convincing.

@@WilliamLaurenson Firstly, the shame explained by game quality. Absolutely everything in the game, its plot, characters, gameplay, game mechanics, ballistics, physics, AI, player UI - it all looks terribly banal, undeveloped and secondary. Almost all ideas, events or designs are copied from previous games and, as a result, implemented worse than the originals. Some parts of the gameplay, such as the lack of subsystems on ships or the lack of hyperspace/inhibitors in multiplayer, looks like a 200% shame. The game is buggy and performance issues. Just supply 5 CPU players in skirmish and look at this. There will be no AI, all you will see is how the CPU player will endlessly build ships one by one and endlessly send them to another player. Its All! After 15-20 min, your game will drop to 15-25 FPS even on a strong computer. The story of the single player is simply stupid and does not answer the questions. There is not a single mention of the Sajuuk ship, where did it go? This looks beyond absurd, because... the whole story of the previous part was tied to this. Secondly. The original Homeworld style implies the absence of stereotypical propaganda with the presence of black commanders and strong women who suppressed men. This all makes me want to puke, since such sh*t can be observed in every second film or game. This crap has never been released in this franchise. Also, the Homeworld original story style implies storytelling in the style of black and white videos, in which there is no place for Disney cartoons which we now see... Maybe you think that after 25 years there should be no progress? Just ask yourself - why the shells disappear after 2-3 seconds after fire? This normal? Its advanced ballistic? If you look carefully, sometimes, the fired projectile will disappear before it reaches the target. It is nonsense. Why do shells that hit ships do not ricochet? Depending on the angle of attack, They should bounce off the armor and have damage ability for neighboring ships! Why can't shells penetrate ships? Personally, Rob Kaningham promised me advanced ballistics. If it was like I said, the game would be unique and really modern for 2024, But what we see is the same as 25 years ago... Look at the frigates, destroyers, Battlecruiser from Hiigara. This is all the same ship, multiplied to scale, with elements from Desert of Kharak attached. Look at the ship's bridge! This Bridge was simply stolen from the carrier Kapisi. Besides, All Incarnate frigates and Capitals are made from one Sajuuk, and all corvettes are a hybrid of the Vaygr Laser Corvette... Secondary, If In all Western games and media in general they are like this, then on the contrary, you need to look for other ways, not to be a sheep in the general herd, be original. But they had no such goals. It's easier to copy/paste. Paint the face of a female antagonist like in Star Wars, put her on the same ship design, as in Star Wars and insert her into the plot... They have nothing of their own, everything is copied from somewhere they have seen before. "I'm not going to argue that the story is poor.
