Since I found this site, I have viewed several homes. Large homes. Evidently people with a large amount of income. But I find your home the best designed and of course of my taste as well. Sarah….I LOVE it all. Your bookcases and fireplace are beautiful…I was just wondering….why didn’t you put two drapery panels on each window….it just makes it look much more expensive and much classier….just think about it….your are so precious. Thankyou for sharing with all of us…..it would not make it darker as long as you open both sides of the drapes.a…you would LOVE it MORE!!!!!….you can always add more lamps on the bookcases and the other table…..I have 16 lamps in our living room….you can NEVER EVER have too many lamps or too many pillows.

She has a very refined taste and esthetic, and puts it really well together without looking cheesy. She has a lot of things, but because she’s very efficient and has the eyes for detail it does not look cluttered at all. One of my favorite apartments, very difficult to find anything to criticize.

Yes we decorated our entire 1920’s craftsman with thrifted pieces. All second hand from marketplace , antique shops and the goodwill in our town. Nobody believes it when I tell them where things are from lol. I love second hand and old pieces because the quality is unmatched compared to today’s cheaply made things .

Ooh! Such a gorgeous home, with lots of beautiful touches! I love looking at other people's bookshelves. I have a huge one but my books are not colour coordinated. I have mine grouped according to subject matter: Art, Plants, Gardening, Home Decor, Information, Novels, Australian Classics, Dictionaries. It's a riot and mish-mash of colours and sizes.
