I don't know why they always show these Palaeo guys with matted hair. You see beavers and other mammals taking baths, why wouldn't early humans?

Hair and fur are not the same texture. In most primitive cultures that aren’t using combs regularly, hair mats. It’s reasonable to think early man before evidence of combs also had matted hair

When you make a statement that is completely false, you lose all credibility. At about 19 minutes, you state that carbohydrates were needed by early humans in what is now northern Europe to balance the protein in their diet. That isn't true with current humans and it wasn't true with many hunter cultures written about by early European explorers or by Vihljamur Steffanson who lived until 1962 and reported on the diet, and the remarkable health, of natives of the far north of Canada. Fat is needed to balance protein, not plant material and for the vast majority of the year there is no plant material that is edible in the northern parts of the planet. Perhaps you could get some writers who know what food is available when there is snow on the ground or for the long months after winter. Where do your writers LIVE that they could be so uninformed about the way plants grow only when it's warm enough and for the rest of the year, you eat animals or you die?? Could you get them a map of where Germany is so they could find out a little about the climate there?
@Lycona7693
@Lycona7693 8 ай бұрын
Agreed. It’s actually impossible for most humans to eat too much protein. Carbohydrates are unnecessary for survival.

I wonder, as a non-scientific old grandma, that so little dna-evidence from the other ancestors is found in our dna. Also in Africa and Asia. When I look around I see a lot of people with the same characteristics as these long-gone ancestors. And.....we as a whole are not that bright as we think we are. There are some, yes, just like thousands of years ago. It took just one human, or nagging wife, to come up with a super idea. Just like nowadays. I would never think of digging in the ground for usable minerals. I would like fire and boats. But the way my ancestors used nature in the Netherlands, I would never be that inventive. The whole body is a thinking experiencing organisme, the brain is just a clever intermediair between input and output. My own experienes while bringing post, biking, doing the laundry, cleaning, etc.
