@@Poondert, great that you tried a different speed, which works for you 😀 It really improves the video! I have started to notice that many KZbin documentaries with narrators are too slow for my taste. I even started to wonder if some of them have been deliberately slowed down a bit for various reasons - it might be good for elderly viewers whose hearing isn't as good as it used to be. I often use 1.25 now and it sounds perfectly ok to me. After a minute or two i don't even notice anymore that I have selected a slightly higher speed. This doesn't work of course when music is an important part of the video, but for most documentaries it is just fine.

Presently watching a Time Team archeology program from the BBC set on Green Island in Poole Harbor in Dorset, where similar stone bracelets are shown being made from shale. They mention bracelets made by Phoenicians from coal as well. Clearly the green stone bracelet was once a bracelet that was later broken and then converted Into a pendant by adding a hole to hang it from. But the technique of manufactor must differ.

Has anyone seen the Neil Oliver excavation of some of the small cairns in the isles?Many skulls and all had signs of having had to endure pain from the practise of hitting another to perhaps get their attention. The initial artists impression of what they looked like,raised hackles. The old colonel blimps were incensed to have Archaeologists even suggest they were our forebears. Well, tough,accept that this is more likely to be the truth than anything else we try to make up.

One thing that bothers me about these documentaries is that they never explain why these early humans always had to protect themselves from the cold whereas other animals did not. If we all came from warm climates, why then did these species migrate to colder regions of the globe? Were they forced to do so? Other animals don’t displace themselves to areas in which they cannot live comfortably. You don’t find lions in the Northern Hemisphere. Why hominids subjected themselves to this unnatural event? If hominids displaced themselves to colder climates, why didn’t they evolve to cope with their new environment? Maybe because they didn’t have enough time to do so?
@bripa3890
@bripa3890 4 ай бұрын
I've always felt like it wasn't so much that early humans were forced to migrate to bad climates as they had the technology to do it so they did. I believe any organism will spread as far as it can, most species don't have the option to make clothes that allow them to overcome the environment so they have no choice but to live where they have evolved to be successful. Humans developing clothes and fire opened up ecological niches that were previously unavailable to them and I believe any animal would capitalize upon this
