Starting the Honda 6, dont remember if it was a 250 or the 297cc, what a glorious noise either way!

That is one sweet motor for a start from cold. Nothing beats a six for sound quality except perhaps two of them ..........on the same crank.

Incredible engineering all those years ago and formula 1 had to wait 30 years on to achieve the same 😉 And look how smart those Japanese crew, who came with the bikes are, all part of the total professionalism of that company. And your right a symphony of sound. I have only ever been once to IOM, and that was 1966 ( TT was late that year because of dock strike or something), anyway is was the halcyon days of pure sound, on 6 cylinders, 4 cylinders, 3 cylinders 2 cylinders and single cylinder, both 4 stroke and 2 stroke 🙏 My greatest memory is hearing Hailwood on the 297 six coming towards us on very long straight after leaving Glen Ellen, screaming past us at right kink and disappearing, but the sound just echoed in the air , all the way to Bullaugh Bridge. Still makes my hair sta
