And these beasts chain driven. CRAZY. We must remember these engines and all of the people who built and maintained them for our freedom, on this memorial day.

As a German myself, I absolutely adore the Brutus experimental "car" (death trap). It's the pinnacle of mad German engineering. The way the car irratically starts up, the sound, the power, the danger of trying to tame the beast as you race down the road. It's beautiful. I never owned anything other than a bicycle myself, but if I ever get a motorized vehicle, then I NEED something, like this!

I've had the privilege of seeing several of these cars close-up and in action. The sounds and smells are amazing and the ground shakes if you are near enough. I loved the shot of the GN going up Prescott in the snow. Utterly barmy but unforgettably entertaining idea.

Interesting video. I really enjoyed it. Thank you. All of these sounded great. It may have been partly the recorded audio, but the BMW Brutus had about the wickedest exhaust sound, overall, that I have heard, that wasn't a top fuel dragster. The Leyland Thomas was very impressive when the mechanic, or driver, wrapped the throttle a couple of times. Older design, or not, it responded very fast, letting there be no doubt that it was bad assed.

Nearly all of the Information if not all about BRUTUS in this Video is wrong. It is a creation of the Technik-Museum Sinsheim in Germany assembled and constructed in the late 90s - and not a car built in the WW1 Era. And its surely not a BMW. It’s kept in the Museum to this day and is used quite regularly, for example on "Brazzeltag" once a year.

Some of these cars look Absolutely crazy. I don't think I could drive them. The brutus looks as mad as a bag of ferrets. It's the thin wire wheels that get me not enough rubber on the road. Most of these cars would pass health and safety and the polution emissions would be off the scale ! .
