Just goes to show, it is the rider that makes more difference than the bike.

i have a deauville 650 , a versys 650 and a cbr1100xx bb.The only tires without tire chicken strips, is the deauville. Fantastic machine. Comfortable,(even two up) practical and despite its bad specs even able to overtake anything but sporty vehichles.

I wonder if it were fins or pegs scraping... Should be pegs, but that was insane enough to question that. Great video, proving that 99% of riders would not be able to push past performance similar to the Deauville. Which brings a question - is there even a point buying something sportier for most of us? Because that kind of riding on a general road would be suicidal, and most sport bike owners have seen a track only on tv

The only time I have ever been on a track I was sat in a train . As great a a deuville is and I have just bought one after having an old ntv 650 and in more recent years s transalp 600 . They have their limitations they lack the vast amount of power available to safely over take cars that a bike with say 90 bhp will have however I am fully aware of that they are a nice relaxing bike to ride and will return 60mpg cruising at 60mph and no messy drive chain to maintain . I want to settle down to the posted speed limit to keep my license clean and just chill out on the road . They are also nice and light compared to most other shaft driven touring bikes . With a top box and top and bottom wind deflectors fitted to the fareing they are a very practical proposition . One more thing they are pretty much only suitable for solo touring add a pillion and it will bog them down .

@@harrykuntz878 I do not know about them being light... I have never tried picking one up, but sitting on top of one it really does not feel all that different from my FJR1300. Stationary lean angles are almost the same, and when moving, weight disappears for both of them. Yamaha does feel a bit heavier, but nowhere to the level of knowing that it is 100kg / 200 pounds heavier with a full tank. Picking up an FJR1300 from the ground does suck in the extreme though, and you do have to plan your traffic stops, as you can not really push it around very quickly. On the plus side, 60mph is barely above idling in 5th on it, and you do get 50+ mpg at that speed.

Outstanding! Never seen one of those do that before...I hope your pillion was okay with the detour!

Brilliant. The 'Dullville' name is not justified. A great video, thanks for sharing.

Que gran piloto, sin duda mejor que los otros dos, en las curvas les machacaba y los demás en las rectas, grande piloto el de la honda deauville, y muy valiente
