for the breather tube delete and i found this out the hard way the other day, swapping to the single cooling line on the throttle body will shkrten the distance at a possibility of kinking it on the port coming from the thermostat housing, if you want to do it right buy a foot of line that matches the size and cut it to where itll route nicely with no kinks or snags causing a restriction of cooling to the throttle body

Nice video I have a 4 cyl 2009 accord ex and so far only have an intake as well. I’m trying to figure out how to make this 4 cyl as fast as possible lol from what I’ve read so far adding new header which is like 160$ would give it about +10 more horsepower

Tbh I have an 08 k24 and if u spend a little more on k+n short ram kit,u get just as much if not more as longer ram air boost and also u life somewhere w/snow and roadsalt,u can really fuck up ur engine or if u live somewhere it rains a lot!lol Just sayin man,good install tho! The k+n has a divider that keeps hot air out so its a separate unit once u close the hood!👍

So far I’m good, I’ve drivers through some really bad rain storms lately but the car is fine still. The intake is changeable. So I can run the short ram or cold air by taking of the lower part of the intake tube.

Go for it! Surprise I didn’t get a single light for the intake. I got a check engine for something else but never for the intake! Best thing I ever bought for my car! Induction noises are insane!

It gave about 2-6 hp. Realistically speaking. It gave way more throttle response. When punching the car, it drops gears much more faster! Unless if you tune the car, you’ll be making more power out of it. More like 10-15. Maybe more.

Vtc actuator is bad, it makes a grinding noise on start up. Indicating that the vtec sprocket is going bad.

You could have just installed the one tube and made it a short ram air intake, but the longer tube increases performance at lower speeds

@@JosePerez-il3htfrom my understanding it will take longer for the air to get to the engine with the longer tube, meaning you’ll need a decent amount of speed to get a decent amount of airflow, meaning the longer tube will be more effective at higher speeds than lower speeds.

Both are going to work better at higher speeds than lower since the faster you go the more air will be being "pushed" into the system thereby making it denser

It really isn’t too low, but if there is a flood I would not drive it because it will definitely suck I’m water. You could turn it into a short ram by the taking the bottom part off.

Let me ask, the metal hose that you undid with the three hoses(3 in one metal hose) ; you plugged in the valve breather hose to the air intake but what did you do with the other two holes? I’m sorry, I just saw your comment. Basically what I did is I took of the metal hose part and put the hose straight into the throttle body. And another hose goes from the intake tube to the crank case.

Haha of course ima respond fast, basically I took of that metal piece that had one for coolant and the other I believe for a vacuum. Once you pull of the coolant part of the metal piece, you plug that straight into the other end in the throttle body.

It is not anti water proof, you Actully have to be very careful driving in the rain. My car had a fender liner so that helped keep water way from there.

That’s weird, I think you put in the tube the wrong way. Try spinning it around, the bottom part of intake.

I took the old air intake box and put the new one in, turn it to the right it hits the wheel, turn it to the left it hits the body of the car, so it’s just in between both of them ain’t no turning it. What I did was I just installed the one with the mass air flow sensor and just left it on top…

Nope it won’t work, but there is one for the v6 accord. It’s one whole tube. I think it’s like 60-80 bucks. If you type in your car info on eBay, you’ll find it.

@@jaredharrell5751 I’m guessing you have a v6 accord since you have rv6 parts, I do recommend getting a k tuner to make all the power from your mods, you can be looking up to 20-30 hp but, you will need an actual tune for it. The base maps that come with the tuner would work but they aren’t that good.
