Nice video! I have a 2012 TSX Sport Wagon here in Philly with the K24z3 and just under 70k on the clock. Having owned Hondas going back to my 1983 Prelude, I think this wagon has the best build quality of any of my Hondas. The paddle shifters work seamlessly with the 5 speed slush box, and even bone stock, this wagon is an awesome highway cruiser. It even feels exotic because I seldom see another one.....we call that a unicorn.

Awesome car video. Really a huge fan of your channel since you started the build! I would just like to mention that both the old and new diesel are identical and both are super tuneable! A remap in a turbodiesel can get you lots of ponies! The old 2.2 diesel (i-ctdi) is more tuneable because it has no dpf. I have one in my civic with a stage 1 pushing 200bhp and 400 torque, paired to a 6 speed, 0-60 is in the low 7s (with lots of spinning) so calling it sad is a bit of an exaggeration imo, great video otherwise 8)

For performance, delete egr and dpf and reflash, should get you at least 60 horses, if you wanna go to town, put a bigger turbo... suspension is identical to Kiwi's car so a similar setup would be nice.

A tune will get you from 138bhp to about 190-200, but it's the torque figures you want to look at in a diesel. 251 lb/ft becomes around 300 from a basic remap. For this, you will want some form of clutch kit as standard one can't handle that torque for long. These can be pricey here in the UK (£1.3k+ labour included) Outside of that, just make it look good. Diesels didnt come in Type S trim so grab a nice lip-kit and slap it on. Be warned though the diesels come with a side mounted FMIC so you will need to remove the left fog light to allow air flow if fitting one of these kits to a pre-face. That and lower it on a good set of H&R, Eibach or Tein springs/coilovers and get a nice set of wheels and accomodating tyres. Progress rear anti roll bar _(RARB)_ comes recommended from many-- and get some sort of custom exhaust because the downturned 'flacid' diesel one looks pathetic. 🤣 Lastly, one of the biggest changes I made to my Accord was fitting a mesh grill & de-chroming the car. Colour coding the grill surround and blackening the chrome around the windows. Something else everyone always overlooks is lighting. A good set of white bulbs up front (I recommend Osram Nightbreakers)- good LED sight lights & rear number plate lights and polish those headlights to make them look new! Something else to note, these diesels are very fussy when it comes to servicing. They only like _OEM_ Bosch parts. Failing this causes it to throw up an EML and go into limp mode at times. Just a heads up 😜

Correction for you: Accord Euro was manufactured from November 2002 :)
@KiwiCarLife3 жыл бұрын
Yes, however in NZ they didn't go on sale until February 2003.... I can only really speak for the country I live in. And I thought I mentioned in the video the CL8 and CM1? Or are you talking about another model with the same chassis code?
@maxxibro3 жыл бұрын
@@KiwiCarLife yeah I saw you mentioned those CL8 and CM1 later in the video. :) But yeah the Euro starts at November 2002. In New Zealand you can buy car that was made in 2002 and registered as 2003. Not in Japan, if the car made in 2002 then it will be registered as 2002. But NZ model year came out with 2003 even though it was a 2002. I hope I explained it correctly 😂
@KiwiCarLife3 жыл бұрын
@@maxxibro Yeah nah makes sense. That's the case with a lot of cars if they are built late in the year. By the time they get here and are registered, it's the next year.

Ps4's are good but I think there are better tyres for the price like re003s or Hankook ventus v2 concept 2
@baker69283 жыл бұрын
You can't beat PS4's; but as an alternative try Goodyear Eagle F1's, I highly recommend them. Uniroyal Rain-sports are also good tyres. If you're on a budget, try NEXEN.
