Well, considering I don't see many of these driving around the UK anymore, I was wondering why........ I still don't have a good answer to that. Perhaps it would make a good discussion in the comments.
I always remember the Accord as being a little bland and boring when I was growing up. My father owned several over the years. This model certainly didn't feel as bad as the 02 Accord executive (my dad's last ever honda) That one is a long story for another day. It also put me off Honda cars for a while until I discovered the Odysseys.
This accord has a far sportier thing going on than the ones I had experienced before making it feel very like my Partner's previous car the Mazda 6 2.2D Sport. I must admit, it was a good thing too.
It's definitely still very Honda in many ways and seems to be well designed and fun to drive. I'm left wondering.... so why didn't they sell that well?
Pros: Sporty feel, handles well, seems good all round
Cons: looks are love\hate, a little sparse on some features including comfort extras for rear passengers

Keep an eye on the import market. They got access to some interesting models we did not in the Europe.

Nothing bout reliability? Made in japanese favtory ad vompared to Czech or romania or turkey spain factories as the european brands? Nothing bout the quality of the mechanical parts compared against those pretencious brands that have stuff breaking all the time?

You make a good point. Honda are well known for not breaking often but destroying your bank balance when they do. I've owned alot of VW and Mercs in past few years and not had many major issues with them. The cars that DID give me problems were Renault and Mazda. Make of that what you will. If I get back to making videos, my work schedule is making that nearly impossible, I'll think I should have a section discussing common faults I find on owner's forums and asking the communities first. It might take long to make the videos but it would be more comprehensive.

@@autofanatica944 Renault is a tragedy waiting to happen. They absolutely ruined Nissan with cost reducing measures to the point my 2003 Nissan Primera felt like a toy on wheels. Doors felt like they were made out of weak and light plastic and the suspension was so mindnumbingly weak. Worst of all the manual gear stick was the worst one I've ever used. When I say F**k I mean it with everything I have
