Nice rig! Reminds me of the time I rode my Honda Elite CH250 from Idaho to Seattle in about 4 hours, pegged all the way. hahaha The dirty little secret no one dares admit to is that scooters are some of the most comfortable two-wheeled tourers on the road. Gorgeous scoot you got there...congrats!

Sweet bike. My first was the Honda Click/Vario 125. Then the Honda Pcx 160. The Adv 150 was also one that I was droolin about. I've packed some horn, auxiliary light, mirrors, muffler alloy top case and worked some upgrades with the cvt. Small displacement motorcycles are versatile. The Honda Adv 150 has the most beautiful lines in a scooter.

Mine definitely has!! I’m pushing 2K miles on it so far and I got it back in April. He’s 100% right about the break in period lol she will get up and go after the first 500-600. I use it to commute to work, so I don’t really “travel” on it, but I’m getting ready to mod her out. Definitely getting a bigger windshield since the one it comes with is awful, but I just want to customize the fairing a little, get some hand guards, new mirrors, def a luggage rack, and even put on some crash bars just in case. She’s a great scoot!!!

Cool vid sir. I recently picked up bone stock 21’ ADV150 with 232 miles on it. Owner didn’t ride it. I’ve been contemplating on a rear storage options and presently went with a $120 RhinoWalk 40-60L rear top bag because didn’t want to purchase a hard case or rear rack and the mole straps and semi tactical functionality appealed to me .There’s also different sized RhinoWalk side “saddle” bag options in the $125 range or you can go with Nelson Rigg name brand. I like the Harbor Freight case but it’s kinda small if you ever want to scooter camp. The Garmin looks amazing but I just Ram Mount my phone for navigation and everything else for simplicity. As for the front wind screen I ordered the Puig light smoke off Amazon for $70. It’s a great improvement and name brand aftermarket high quality product with no mirror interference. Bottom line I here’s are now more options than when this vid was made. I’ve noticed more ADV bikers using waterproof soft bag options now and they are more versatile vrs a hard case. Again it’s a matter of preference

I just bought the same rear rack off of Amazon. Took a while to find it. Cost me about $240.00. Hopefully, the bolt pattern matches up OK. I was going to get one of the cheaper $130.00 racks but after seeing your video, I changed my mind. I totally forgot about using the handles for setting the center stand! I would've gone through two or three of the other racks before going through one of these! I have a Kemimoto bag that is large enough to store a helmet when expanded but the take is that you can't lock it up and it isn't as waterproof as yours without a rain fly. Thanks for the tips my Yakima brother! I live in Coeur d'Alene so I am setting mine up for forest service roads as well!

Thanks for posting. I really like some of these mods, and videos on stateside mods for this bike are few and far between. Please consider posting links to the items you've purchased. That is one sweet looking rack which I intend to purchase. Can't recall if you've discussed previously, but does your full-face helmet fit under the seat? If mine won't, I'll have to go with a larger box on the back, but I really like the looks of a thinner profile box such as yours. Hoping my ADV 150 will be arriving soon. Giving all the shipping challenges, I intend to wait until delivery until I spend more $ and start ordering mods. Like and subbed.

Noice ride Brother ! May I ask why you chose the dark windscreen ? I got a full touring GIVI screen, clear, on my Burgman 400. Fyi, I ride local & regional in East Texas with my 2 tours being to NW Arkansas for "Scoot the Ozarks" and later to San Diego for my HS reunion. Epic effort considering my newbie status. Safe travels ! David
@GasWorksISO Жыл бұрын
The dark tint doesn’t really serve much purpose other than keeping sun glare off the instrument cluster sometimes. There really aren’t too many options for the ADV, so I went with the one that looked the best to me.
@psalm2forliberty577 Жыл бұрын
@@GasWorksISO Right on it makes sense. I'd guess your looking over it, not thru it. On my GIVI I'm looking thru it at all times. So that's a different application altogether. Basically I'd crash on the first turn were mine dark tinted.

Another question: With regards to wind deflector; if you've done twilight or night rides on the ADV 150, have you found the smoke or darkened tint obscures your road view in front of the bike? I like the looks but am concerned that the dark tint might prove to be a hazard avoiding road hazards, potholes, etc. immediately in front of you when riding at night.

Is it going completely flat or just losing some pressure
@wingandhog2 жыл бұрын
I don’t own a scooter but am tempted. Although my wife would probably murder me in my sleep if I came home with a fourth bike in the garage. But I digress. Like any motorcycle tires, if you’re loosing a little pressure over time, that’s normal. Just keep an eye on it and fill as needed. If you have a leak, and your loosing a lot of pressure, I would have it serviced.

@Jim Tinter I just recently found, ordered, received, and installed this rear rack on my ADV 150. I had to order from a shop in Thailand. The base price was incredible ($51.52) but the shipping not so much ($115.08). Still, the overall price was a less than what was reported here. What you want to look/search for is a product called H2C kit or rack for the ADV 150. From my invoice, this is how it was listed: H2C KIT, REAR RACK, SKU#: H2C_APK0WFK77340TA. This is the same exact build as shown on this video. The quality and fit is excellent and it's plenty rugged. The shipping time wasn't bad ... about 10 days I believe.
