I have the same 2017 but DCT and I've done 13h = 810 miles in one day. Was not even tired in the end of the day

I find you ride enough stock seats are fine I do 4 hours a day on my nc Honda commute just fine people butts must be sensitive sit on your butt and not your backbone and they all break in fine. I've never considered a aftermarket seat on any of my bikes.

That you for a great review. I personally appreciate a review where the person doesn't come across as a snob, 3 time whatever champion and and expert with most aspects. I would imagine that 70% of the people that own any adventure bike will ever put it through its paces or use to to its full capacity. I like an honest "realistic" review and you provided it. Great job from northern Wisconsin!

I have a 2018 adventure sports. Best bike I’ve ever owned. The cornering is fantastic, comfortable enough for any number of miles, amazing off-road, I think they addressed some of the suspension issues that you felt on this bike, I do agree that once in a while I would like to be able to really pull the front wheel up easily or our over a rock or something, that might be the only possible flaw I could find. R I’m curious what you chose and if you liked the Ktm?

Looks like you already have big plans for the bike? It's not a bad bike for all around use, looks good and the Honda reliability is a huge plus.

Yeah I ended up getting a 2016. Loving it. Full build in the works so stick around.

It's been a while brother, hope all is well. I have a veteran rider friend in GA and I mean veteran...like you. He has (3) rides which I've always felt fits the bill. My status is one bike (other reasons) it's the Tenere 700, the unicorn (I want to be able to go anywhere). The AT he had for a long time and kept a Yam Liter for slab, an FZ07, the T7 and an enduro Honda (close he has 4). AT is a reliable stable slabber no doubt, and useful for fire roads. Ride safe. From CT, U.S.A. EDIT: test ride the SuperTenere if you want to try another super slabber. The Tenere 700 is a trade off, good offroad a bit heavy and respectable on the road...but short of a super slabber. Both linear and nothing mind blowing. If you want excitement (and some unexpected stuff) then KTM 1190 or close. 890 is china made. One main reason for getting the Tenere 700...minimal electronics. Watching your video if you want an exciting engine it's KTM but it's like the hot chick ...

I did test ride a used KTM 1290 in excellent shape. Yes great power but I wanted to avoid a bike that tempts me to wheelie everywhere. And they bake your butt and legs. I chose good power, cool running and reliable Honda history. I'm very pleased.

You just deflated my enthusiasm for going and checking one of these out with all that lacks power talk 😂😂 I want the reliability and simple oil changes over the ktm990 thou

It might be the extra pressure in the front tire that makes it corner as it does.

They were never built for power. They were built to win the Dakar. You won't find a bike as reliable in every category in its class.

Get a 2022 not the 2017. Completely different bike!! That bike dives and has a bad history of front end washouts!!! Honda figured it out with the New AF Twin 1100!! 2022

I test rode a 2020 AT and the front-end nose dive was extremely noticeable. Is this the case on 2020 as well? Or did they just fix this in the 2022 model ?
