I bought Honda Amaze V-model (1 less than top-end ) manual transmission Petrol in Nov 2019. This is truly value for money and would definitely recommend it! I did a test drive of other sub-4m compact sedans like Tigor & Dzire before going for this one. The major reason for choosing Amaze over other cars is the very low NVH levels in the cabin, lot of legroom and seating comfort for rear passenger, clear view from driver's seat and the smoothness of the wonderful i-vtec engine. The vehicle has given me a very good mileage of 15-16kmpl in city, and 19-20kmpl on highway. The max I've extracted is ~23kmpl on a trip from Bangalore to Chennai with AC at low fan speed and maintaining RPM @ 2000. (80kmph) The 2 drawbacks i'd like to point out are: 1. Low pickup in 1st and 2nd gear, though its a bit better in the 2nd gear. 3rd gear n above, its simply superb. Maybe the diesel variant's performance might be different. 2. Soft suspension, ideal for well-laid roads, but i found it uncomfortable during a bit of off-roading. Overall a wonderful car for its price range and worth every single rupee!

I own amaze petrol S variant. Really amazing car I would say. Such a smoother engine and well comfortable seats its have. Only drawback I felt is initial pickup is low . But running pickup is gud enough. Also I felt a lot of difference between for the pickup with and without AC. And definitely it is not a fun to drive car. Thanks for pointing out the AC lag. Is that very prominent. For instance, I've a wagon r which is no fun to drive with ac on, but when turned off, it is different vehicle with good pick up. Am planning to upgrade to a compact sedan, hence clarifying. Thanks

We bought Amaze VX MT petrol variant for this new year.. being new to driving.. after riding 3000kms my reviews about my car.. Pro : Spacious interior, 420 boot lit, smooth noiseless engine, Smooth shifting gears and steering control, good infotainment and sound system , apt reverse parking with guiding sensor. Decent Mileage: 16 -17 in city and ~20 in highway .. Cons: Rear AC vent missing, sometimes felt shifting 2nd gear has some hindrances.. hope it ll be solved in second service.. Rear seat head rest missing.. Felt Honda accessories could be affordable..

In hilly areas it’s like driving a tractor in a field especially when it’s fully loaded. Pick up is the main issue. Ground clearance is another one where you must be extreme careful and slow on a speed breaker. Otherwise nice one.

Own amaze petrol CVT, space both front and back is really good with correct seating angle. Engine is really refined and smooth.. Will get 19+ with ac and of you keep your RPM below 2000 and speed is 85-95..and its the ideal speed. The only negative is that if the car is fully loaded with 5 adults and if the speed breaker hump is too high, your car will get a hit bottom..

This year March I bought Amaze Petrol VX variant. Positives: 1.smooth driving, 2.Engine noise is very very low, 3.interior cabin is very spacious 4. I can feel the premium look. 5. Cruise control. 6. Boots Space 7. Seat Comfort 6.Mileage with AC in Highways 18(80KMPH) WITHOUT AC 22 7.Build Quality is good Negatives: 1. Too much power lag (with 5 members and luggage) and in hill station we need apply lot of pressure in accelerator. 2. infotainment is not up to the mark(Especially when we connect to the mobile for navigation,it's disconnecting continuously). 3. Rattling issue 4.off roading not at all suitable.

@@vigneshGv07 yes you are correct the brand new car the front seat has movement sound and locksound occurs during fornt and back, that point amaze has to improve and interior front right arm not satisfied, rear window mirrors has vibration sound. Milage not reached as specified in manual. Others ok.

Great review once again ! I am planning to book this car and your review has made my decision more stronger. Based on test drive experience, the steering is hard in slower speeds compare to Hyundai and Volkswagen which I also tried. Visibility was awesome that too for people with average height. I am planning to choose VX CVT version, where I felt there is noticeable lag compare to I20, Polo with similar price range. I am still a learner benefited with your tips. 2nd gear suthamaa power illa. (please don't try to take sudden over takes with this car no sudden power only gradual power even with petrol engine) other than that its a good car. also it should have added with auto dimming IRVM for top end. some worst cost cutting are boot gate has no up side insulation all the wires are exposed even the camera wiring. mileage is ok not great in all situation. other than that its a good family car. good to buy car. best for city driving. first car buyers can buy this.

I own Amaze 2014 SMT petrol model, still getting 18-20 kmpl with fully packed and ac on, in highways with avg speed of 70-85 kmph and 20-24 kmpl with less load and ideal rpm (45-60 km/h). Mileage at city traffic ranges from 12-14 kmpl. So far no complaints, other than known facts like smooth suspension which need to be managed in driving during offroad driving and high speed breaks. I think still the engine is same in new models also, probably with some minor improvement. Otherwise please inform. Low pickup at 1st gear can be managed. Thanks

It's a best buy if you are conscious in speed initial pickup(rash driving such places) and ready to compromise engine isolated noise and rear seat space comfort. Aspire is powerful horse most underrated yet I didn't go for the same cause amaze performance was way good than aspire also the comfort ( goa a family) is evident nd amaze scores well

Price may be slightly different from Amaze but keep the note AMAZE is designed to cover entry level Sedan so the maintenance and running cost is nominal, But in the case of Honda City it's a premium sedan (you may feal the comfort) so definitely it's more costlier than Amaze ( running cost as well spare parts )

If you haven't booked yet then I would say go for Honda City as I own an Amaze petrol I can say honda city is best

I own an amaze but everything what he said doesn't apply for mine.. Mine is much faster and has sudden acceleration than this one coz mine being disel with 100nm more torque than that of a petrol.. Diesel is much easier to move so no difficulty in 1st and 2nd gear but the cons of the diesel compared to petrol is that mine isn't as smooth as the petrol varient.. Apart from that everything is same as what he mentioned and worth your money

I am getting 17- 17.5 KMPL in diesel. I own a S variant, Diesel Manufactured in feb 2021. Also the noise is too high for diesel car. Is this the same for you @mystic?
