Facts: Honda sold 361.5k CRVs in the US in 2023, while Toyota sold nearly 435k RAV4s. The problem is not one of supply so much as it is of demand. Toyota also imports a fair number of RAVs from Japan to supplement those made in KY and Ontario.

I am a lifetime Honda and Toyota buyer. In the past three months, I bought one Hyundai and two Kia's, trading in a 4Runner and Civic. The Hyundai's and Kia's are just nicer, ride better, and are cheaper. Oh yes, the 2020 4Runner was a quality disaster, and the Civic wasn't much better.

I'd rather pay sticker for the RAV4 than $10k less for the Tucson. My 2011 RAV4 is still going strong closing in on 200k miles. I have my FIRST maintenance repair at $1500 coming up and I have not had a car payment since 2015. Compare that to most Tucsons, which basically fall apart at 150k miles. If you keep yout cars for the long haul, Toyota is the only way to go, especially in how they make their new hybrid systems. Toyota's hybrid system removes a lot of moving parts from the system that Tucson still has, such as a starter, etc. while giving a 150k warranty on its hybrid system. Honda is not that far behind, but its cars are like driving my grandfather's car, its just basic and plain.

My 2022 tuson has 500.000 miles on it np problem. If you maintain your vehicle correctly per owner's manual. I have had no issues one bit.

Wouldn't it be fair to say that Toyota sales numbers are higher, especially RAV4, compare to Honda CRV because they sell to rental fleets and Honda doesn't? Let's look around you, almost every cab or Uber in most states is RAV4, especially in snow regions. In my area there is such a saturation of RAV4 that is getting weird. Originally I was gonna get RAV4, but now I am glad I didn't. Not only the dealers continue charging $5000 over MSRP like after Covid shortage but now if you own RAV4 it feels like you living in some sort of sci-fi world where everybody will live in the same type of house, drive the same type of car, dress the same and so on. As far as whether Toyota or Honda is better, the beauty is in a eye of beholder. Toyota shape seems edgier but more cramped inside vs Honda CRV is roomier with more clean, less cluttered interior that is typical for Japanese style and it has more headrrom.

Hyundai product dirt painted gold. Their engines are subpar that's why 10 year warranty is needed. On my 2019 Eantra i had to get engine swappped under 50k tells you they sell a facade.

I love your videos but tuscon (company car) I drive everyday and i own xle rav4 well price wise okay tuscon make little more sense but dct transmission in Tuscon is really bad in highway not sure why but excelleration on tuscon takes abit lag like 1 , 2 ,3 and go mean while 8 speed automatic in rav4 is way more steady (not smartest) but reliable I cant say anything about cr-v since no experience with it but pricewise is not just enough to turn the table yet Hyundai needs to make reliable power train and tranmission and which they still not have succeded yet

I'll stick with my 2022 Mazda CX-30 CE (my first Mazda), which has been a pleasant, trouble-free experience over the last 26-27 months now. My last Honda & Toyota ownership experiences weren't as good as they were back in in the good old days before rampant tech-bloat took over the industry, & neither company builds them with the quality-focus that they used to IMO. My 2020 Toyota was the most problematic vehicle that I have owned in 40 years & 10 new Toyota/Honda vehicles. And, I would ride a bicycle before I ever purchased a crappy Hyundai/KIA vehicle.

The main problem I have with Mazda is they do not have the resources to really design everything well. Simple repairs on a Mazda can sometimes involve tearing apart the whole motor because engineers had to just design a good engine, not necessarily one that can be easily repaired.

Vehicle dealerships do not rip you off unless you let them, they are no different than plumbers, roofers, furniture sales. Honda CRV is a much bigger vehicle than the others. No interest in Hyundais or Toyotas at the moment. Tesla Model Y is the biggest problem for this market segment. Ford Explorer could really challenge all as Buy American starts to rage away Calendar Year 2024.

This feels to me like clickbait fake news. Scan the creator's videos and you will see they are all Toyota hit pieces. At the end of Q1 2024, the most recent Toyota delivery reporting period, Toyota had delivered 124,822 RAV4s. Toyota is delivering about 33% more RAV4s than is Honda its CR-V. Toyota delivers roughly double the volume of Hyundai's Tucson. The content creator doesn't understand the difference between total volume and on-hand inventory. Toyota is producing more, but they sell faster than either the Honda or Hyundai equivalent. And that is because consumers want the Toyota more. You can view the delivery numbers at the individual Mfg Media pages. Not hard to find. Not password protected. Honda and Hyundai make great crossovers. They just don't come close to the volume of deliveries that Toyota has.
