Great video, I really enjoyed it! Being a bracket racer I have built many a automatic transmission, but never a manual one. Just bought a 4 speed for my 4 cylinder turbo project (thanks to you) so maybe I can work on that too!

Great video. Just because the terms weren't 100 doesn't mean a thing. Video was very informative in the order which is more important than what you call the parts. Keep up the great work

I believe the torque spec for the countershaft nut is 80 0 80, so torque to 80, untorque, torque back to 80. A new nut should be used each time I've read. That's what I did and came out ok.

Hello hello hello from Romania! Thank you for the video. Nice and clean as always. The reason i'm about to rebuilt my s20 is that the first gear grinds a bit and sounds just like the revers gear. Also the first and second gear seems to have some ''play''. What do you think it went wrong there? Thank you for the vids.

@mariuscivic6 жыл бұрын
@@HunterTuned The shifter is ok. The first and second gear feels like all motor mounts are bad but they are not.The same for the revers. The third,fourth and fifth gears feel nice

What trans fluid do you use? Im using honda mtf but my shifts feel notchy. When i shift i have to wait til the rpm drops down to 3k to go into the next gear.
@rgreerjr6 жыл бұрын
that sounds more like a syncro issue then a fluid issue, I have used both syncromesh or honda mtf in the past with good results.
