Nice to see this with a CB450. That engine is such a unique bit of tech with the torsion bar valve springs and bullet proof crankshaft. Although there was nothing wrong with the original points ignition, you might have gained a bit with the higher energy spark of the electronic ignition. Certainly never going to need to look at timing again once you’ve dialed the curves in. Next step fuel injection? The mono shock is a badass scream to the Honda gods - “Look what I can do!” - followed by an evil laugh. I can only hope that the spring rate is close but in any case, it is damn friggin cool. I owned a couple 450s back in the day and it could keep up with the bigger bikes all day without getting tired. What an awesome creation and celebration of late 1960s tech.

I really appreciate that man. It was a challenge to find ways to top the 750 build. And between the mono shock, tank swap, exhaust for examples i think were really important in expanding my mind of what’s possible. The 750 game me the confidence to try crazy shit and not worry about messing up haha

everything is top notch, beautiful bike. Kudos for the work. Just not a fan of those handle bars and the seating position. You'll bored and weary of the cafe racer seating position very quickly and it becomes very uncomfortable. Just put on a flashy straight handle bar it will peak interest. It looks really cool to the eye and whatnot but not very practical honestly...

Wish i would have done this to my 73 cb750 4. I was young and it was before i started building bobbers. That bike and my 86 vf500f interceptor. Those are the 2 i most regret selling. Had the 87. 750 version also but the 500 would smoke it because the bike was so small. Had both in early 2000's. Already collectable then but i was dumb.

Sorry for my English, I am not from U.S.
