In 1995 the 1975 Honda CB750 in black was my first adult street bike after 1982 when I was in junior high and had a Yamaha Trail 90, and then a Honda CR80. I have fond memories of the Honda CB750 that I got for $500 and then traded it in for a Honda Interceptor 750, then got a 700, and a 1000 Interceptor that was THE smoothest bike I ever owned, and lost it on a drug deal. Damn 90's. EDIT : Funny story, traded it for an ounce of Pablo coke and an ounce of heroin, and a year later I got a notice from the DMV that my bike was never registered and I still own it. I was too paranoid thinking it was a bust that I told them to fuck off. LOL

Been scouring Ebay for a half fairing for my Honda sabre, with no luck. But you've inspired me to make my own! Subscribed!

That's so cool. I've always wanted to have a Cafe racer with such fairing but didn't know how to make it. The ones I've seen on the internet are shaped aluminum which is way out of my skills. Please keep posting the progress, you might convince me to try it.

This is exactly how I'm going to make a custom wide body for my 3000gt- going to try to do it in such a way that I don't have to modify the stock parts at all so my wheel size will be limited. It's an N/A SL, I don't plan on doing much under the hood besides replacing worn out parts unless I come into some Money, then I'll go nuts because I won't be worried about resale, which is important to me with this particlar vehicle- not many of them out there anymore and I need that resale value, it's a bit of a Money in the bank thing and I don't want my investment to lose value. I want to be able to restore it to stock without much work. I really look forward to doing it but I don't have the time or Money right now. I'm not getting crazy with it, keeping the lines/scoops/etc. I like your design, but I've never been a big fan of those short tails, but that's just a personal preference for me- great work!

Just a big tip from another car guy/mechanic. Do not worry about keeping the car stock or original. The only value it keeps that way is in the eyes of a dealership or appraisal company wich 9/10 are scams when you sell to them. If you want money out of it one day then throw all ya got at it and do a full resto mod on the lines of other popular builds with your own twist ofc. You may nit be able to sell it day one like you can at a dealership but youll get 2x-3x the value out of it by doing so. My 1979 tran am 10th anniversary custom edition was last appraised at $98,900 with all original parts and less than 100k on the odo. Once i throw a 5.3Ls and 5 or 6 speed manual trans, aftermarket upgraded suspension, track bar kit and replace all the seals, hoses and gaskets.... shell be worth over $145,000 after im completely done. Granted theres very few people let alone a few places i could go to sell her and expect that kinda money but even with that being said, im still gonna do what makes me happy as you should as well. Money is the last thing im worried about even on a huge investment like that because the fun, enjoyment and memories ive made while working on her and driving her are worth way more than any ammount of money. Kepp wrenchin and drive safely fam!

Red & gold. That gold stripe like on books and expensive things which is just a few microns thick but is 14K gold sheet that is applied by pressing where it is going to be .. or something like that?

Cool bro, but I need to know what type of spray foam you used for the fairing?
@Biggerthanbikes3 ай бұрын
It is canned spray foam, usually used to insulate around windows and doors in houses. The brand I used was called Great Stuff

I love the ingenuity of the spray-foam. But gotta know ... how many cans of foam did you go through?
