Super helpful video. My bike was filthy but I managed to do it in about 15 minutes despite my cheap Halfords spanner snapping as soon as I tried to undo the wheel axle nut! The trick to measure the distance between the end of the bolt and the nut is way better than the markers, in my opinion.

I thought you might use a torque wrench at the end but you did not. I found that most long time mechanics just use feel like you did. You even used a caliper. I guess you checked the bolts before hand to ensure the length. Perfect video and the best I have seen on dealing with the chain.

The tool he used for the depth of the bolts is called a depth gauge I use them at work all the time and well worth the money for a decent set

With measuring the lengths of the adjuster rods is that always going to be exactly the same if the wheel is square? I assume it's just a more accurate way than using the adjuster marks on the side of the swing arm?

Very informative! Just a quick question. I own a CBF 150 with the chain dirt guard and it rattles quite a lot. When i tried to tighten the chain I noticed the last mechanic who service it didnt quite adjust the chain index marker equally. So there are 4 marks to fully extended on the left and 3 on the right. Shouldn't it be even on both sides? the mechanic says otherwise?

Use a Pvc pipe over your socket wrench as an extender. Works really well. You get more leverage.
