Honda Choke Not Working? What to Check

Excellent explanation on the Honda choke. I had one last summer where the guy said it was very hard to start so i checked to choke and it didnt close so on inspection i noticed the actuator was on the wrong side so i put it back and problem solved . I told him what happened and couldnt figure out how it happened and he said he took the bolts off and the carb for some reason and it dropped down and he got nervous and put it back together. Maybe he should of told me that when he dropped it off but learned how it worked and like that system

thank you so much i watched the video and i had the rod on the black plastic instead of the silver one and that spacer was on the metal plate instead of on the block

my choke lever usually rests in the back position when it is running and off. I have to move it forward and when I start it is slowly moves back to the mow position. Now it is reversed and will dont start or run unless I hold the lever in the mow position and it wants to move back to choke. Any suggestions?

Do all of these style auto chokes just stop halfway to the off position? Mine will go back slowly and stops half way.

@@hanksgarage_ My choke lever moves forward a bit and does not lock in the full choke position. It always starts on the first pull though and returns on it's own to the closed position after it starts. Not going to worry about it!!!!

Can't understand how the throttle works when you pull the lever on handlebars it releases the choke so it slowly goes back but it's not connected to anything else like the throttle to increase revs I squirted gas into the carb it went for 20 secs.

mine doesnt close...the mower still works but it doesnt auto close like its suppose to for seom reason
