Dont mistake a great lil track car, against a legend whos legacy is based on numbers, shattering records, setting the standards for which others are judged generation after generation. Only 1 true ruler of Japan an thats Godzilla.

Theres only like 3 of these in my country. 2 are RHD just in a garage kept clean (RHD cars are illegal to be driven in Philippines due to strict rules lol). The third one arrived in 2021 then went to a shop for proper LHD conversion, it looked pretty well after conversion.

Great video, and a beautiful car. However I just want to ask, are you sure it made 177Kw? Because Japanese market S2000s came with just over 184Kw in their higher compression F20c, and that'd mean the S2000 was more powerful than this. Still, it's one heck of a car!

Yes very true I didn't realise the JDM S2000's had more power - all of our NZ new S2k's make 177kW. Either way I figured, while they make the same power, the K20 makes a lot more torque so in theory it's the more grunty engine

@@KiwiCarLife same here in Europe, yeah. It's just down to the compression ratio- only Japan had 100 octane fuel readily available at the time, so everywhere else got a slightly lower compression engine to deal with the lower octane fuel. With a more modern ECU the higher compression engines could most likely handle the 99 octane fuel available from Shell here in the UK, what with the better detonation control a modern ECU can offer.

You can buy a 06 FD2 Sport and engine swap with a K24, Hondata, and install a Mugen or Type R body kit for around 7k

Yeah you’re not wrong but the genuine type r’s it put together differently then a ordinary civic or civic sport...type r uses nsx na1 & na2 concept by using industrial glue to mount up the chassis to safe weight and you can find special bracing for rigidity aswell...
