@Chris 200 is plenty for uk b roads which is why you'd buy one. Waste of time turboing ep3s if you ask me. Chassis and suspension upgrades are the only worthwhile mods. They're not golf r killers, they're fiesta st killers and stock brake is enough for that

True, agree with what you said. I had a mk7 FiST and the ep3 is definitely faster. I know the mk8 is faster than the mk7 so would be interesting. Handling both STs would kill a stock ep3 with its tired suspension. I just felt that the ep3 being so rev happy and the ST heavy flywheel meant that going through the box was so much more fun and effective in the honda. Either way the mk7 and 8 st are pretty much neck and neck with an ep3 on all roads, just depends on the driver really. All 3 of them are wicked though. Got an m135i now and its nowhere near as fun as the fiesta or ep3 I had

Had many a hot hatch over the years. Golfs, Clio’s and even a pulsar gtir back in the day.. I’m 35 now so no spring chicken! Just bought myself an s2000 and I’m just completely blown away! The thing is on another level.. if you’re a true petrol head and love engines it really is an attack on all the senses. Turbocharged cars are fun but dragging the revs out on a Honda vtec is just something else. I’m sure the civic is just as fun just in a different package.

Jamie Marshall S2000 is an different league, there was a time when they were £4000 for an average car. Now people are looking around £7500 for an average car. I’d say the S2000 is probably my favourite car ever built for the original RRP.

S2000s are actuall poo on the limit but unless you have tracked it you wouldn’t really know it either. They also suffer from the same lack of steering feel that all electric steering rack Hondas suffer from. Imo jdm dc2 with a k20 is peak Honda, best engine is best chassis

Hi Rob, bought mine brand new in 2004, done 45000miles since (second owner will get a low mileage car!), and still can't think of a single reason to change it. It still feels new and has gone through some tyres and a battery and that's it. The engine spins like a turbine and the gearchange is a delight, Fabulous car.

You know I’ve driven much more powerful modern sports cars. BMW M4, Audi RS3, Golf R, Audi S3, BMW M3 (E92) but none feel as exhilarating or as involving as the EP3 Type R. The Honda feels raw, responsive and alive compared to other marques and begs to be driven. Hopefully I can keep it forever and never have to sell it.

A legend of a car and will sky rocket up in value in the future im sure. I have a astra vxr lined up in the summer with 1 careful owner from new with full vauxhall service history 60,000 miles in red totally standard & mint and no accident damage and original paint. He is waiting for his tesla model 3 and will sell it me when he gets it. I think it will be very difficult now to find a low mileage standard non crashed ep3 now. But still thinking of buying one of these as a second option.

I bought one last year for 3k, in red, abit faded and the wheels need a referb but I’m not too assed, mechanically it’s spot on and it’s been perfect for like 15k miles I’ve driven it. It’s amazing how tight these engines feel even with high miles, mine has 113k on the clock and the engine still pulls hard, uses next to no oil too. My bro was a typical Honda hater but then I let him drive it and he loves it.

For 2-3k you can pick up a nice ep3 fit aem cai induction ( filter sits behind bumper ) and a nice catback and it will sound like this... I kid you not these things are great fun I am on my 3rd one now and it still buggers me as to why people would choose a clio 182 / pug 206 180 / st 170 or any other hot hatch in that price range over it !

Great cars, but suffered from unforgiving oversteer if you got it wrong. I actually went sideways through a signpost in one of these... my boss was showing off in his then new one (March 2003) before the backend stepped out on a roundabout after he entered it way too fast. 5k’s worth of damage, but still found its way back on the road 😂. Great video also

Dylan Correct very easily heard, even with a loud exhaust. VTEC engages at 6200rpm at full throttle you'll feel the pull just gone 6k in the rev counter. Let me know on any other questions Thanks

I've heard they've got terrible customer service for people spending just a few hundred as opposed to over £1,000. I would rather take my business to somebody who is atleast kind.

In the video I had it on a decat. It wouldn't pass an MOT due to emissions, depends on the tester I guess, currently I have a sports cat on it, it's a little quieter than the video with a sports cat.
