Honda CR 500 Aluminum Frame Air Box modification

Going through the process of modifying the air box from a CRF450 to accommodate the CR500 engine.
We remove the air box, add a mounting plate and use components such as the filter cage, filter stay. and clamp ring from a CR250 to give a nice finished product for the CR500 Aluminum Frame Project

Thanks for the feedback. I'm really enjoying this build. I wish it was moving quicker but I have so many projects I work on it takes time! I expected to have this bike done by now but still have some things to finish. It will be in the dirt this summer

Not Shaw if I missed a video mate how do you run the radiator hoses? With the head been so close to the underside of the fuel tank ?

I haven't done those yet, there will be modifications to the radiators

I’m in the process of converting a 05 250x chassis and so far my biggest trouble has been modifying the fuel tank, did you have to do any modifications and if so how extensive, thanks!

It's tight for mine. Haven't modified yet, if I have to I plan to heat it and reform it a bit.
