This video is a lifesaver!!! I needed to replace my fog light assembly due to a little rock causing a crack on the lens while driving on the highway! I purchased a fork shaped wedge tool just like the one in your video and followed your steps and was easily able to swap out the fog light assembly and secure everything in place!! Awesome 😎 saved me a ton of money from sending to the repair so they could charge me the labor to remove the bumper. Thanks a lot!!!!

I bought this set for my 2016, and moved it over when I upgraded to a 2017. FYI, all of the lights I bought worked just fine, except there is no rear cabin light for the liftgate, they now have two smaller one on each side. I haven't opened them to see what kind of bulbs they take. But the map, vanity, and dome light fixtures were identical to the 2016 and look great in the 2017. :)

I also have another question is okay in stock housing like not blinding other drivers and it doesn't need adjusting right.
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
There are many factors and many upgrades to headlight housings over the years that help mitigate any glare to oncoming drivers. It is more or less the color of the light which causes distraction and not the actual brightness intensity itself. If you notice, the most distracting lights to see on the road are the blue HID lights which cause a lot of glare for the human eye, whereas you probably never noticed the 6000K or 8000K lights on the road because they are more natural to the human eye.

If you wanted to add LED high beams, where would you place the ballast? The low beam ballast seemed to take the only open spot.
@PrecisionLED6 жыл бұрын
For the highs, you would install this kit here: www.precisionled.com/premium-9005-cree-led-headlights.html If the high beam comes with a dust cover, our ballasts are small enough to store in the housing and place the cover over it. If it does not come with a dust cover, you can zip tie the ballast to the frame or 3M mount it to the side wall.

No you do not, as our kits are manufactured for your stock CR-V headlight housing. You do not have to swap your housing for a different kind. Also, our LEDs actually run at a lower temperature than your halogen bulbs. As long as the bulb is installed properly, you do not have anything to worry about.

Hi! The fog lights are definitely still available, and they would be compatible with your 2015 CR-V. Here is a direct link: www.precisionled.com/premium-h8-cree-led-fog-lights.html? I bought 80W 7200LM 12-24V Auxbeam H11 type . I dont know if the wattage was higher than the required out of my vehicle. What will be the right wattage ? Are you selling the right wattage for the low beam? Or is it really the projector type headlight housing .
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
We do not sell nor recommend 55W kits because of an increase in fire risk. Our LED kits (35W) run at a lower temperature than your OEM lights (55W). All the horror stories you hear online of headlights melting is due to higher wattage HID or LED kits. They operate at much higher temperatures than what your headlight is designed for. A 35W kit gives 3 time more brightness than a halogen bulb but operates at a lower temperature. The slight increase in brightness offered by a 55W kit is not a good tradeoff for the safety risk.

Hello , i bought H11 LED type for my crv 2015 low beam tested it and i noticed front passing vehicles always giving me a signal it looks like im on a high beam ? I made some research about the issue , i found out the projector type housing of my headlight is not fit for an LED bulb type. Is it true?
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
No, that absolutely does not make sense to us. However, it is possible that your cutoff from your housing is projecting too high. Have you tried adjusting it? It is a very simple process, as there is typically just a screw to twist on the top of the housing.

PrecisionLED thanks for the input, i will try to adjust it

The 2014 is a H4 dual filament bulb. Brought h11 and it doesn’t fit at all. Different base, different connector, fits thru a rubber grommet
@PrecisionLED7 жыл бұрын
That is absolutely correct. The 2012-2014 models use the H4 dual beam LED fitment. The 2015+ would use the H11. However, the installation process is identical, and the video applies to both generations. You can see this info reflect off of the links in the description of the video.

What about glare in reflector type headlights?
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын

Can it be used on a headlight that doesn't have halogen?
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
No, the product is designed for CR-V owners that want to upgrade from halogen to LED. If your vehicle comes with stock HIDs or LEDs, then the product is not compatible.

Can you get a video or the cutoff beam?
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your interest. We will keep this in mind for future installation videos. However, please note, it is very rare for us to have to adjust the headlamp cutoff after the LED installation.
@Jlui838 жыл бұрын
PrecisionLED my main question is, does the LED have a crisp cutoff like true factory HIDs?
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
A headlamp cutoff has to do with the housing type (reflector vs projector), and not the bulb inside. Projectors have a physical medal plate inside of the housing to make a crisp cutoff. This is with LEDs, halogens, HIDs, or any other type of light installed. Reflector housings tend to disperse light on the road more.

the link says it's 35w bulbs but crv head h11 55w right? will that be ok?
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is perfectly fine. Our kits (35W) run at a lower temperature than your OEM lights (55W). We do not sell nor recommend 55W kits because of an increase in fire risk.

Are the headlights dual beam?
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
We do have listed the 2012 - 2016 CR-V would use the H11 bulb for the lows, which are single beam. You would need to install a complete second CREE LED kit on your vehicle for the highs, as your highs and lows project from different bulbs.

but in your video you said for H8 led kit installed for fog lights ??
@PrecisionLED8 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is correct. However, if a vehicle requires a H8 bulb type, you can swap with the H11, as the fitment is almost identical. However, this does not work vice versa.

Will this work with projectors?
@PrecisionLED7 жыл бұрын
The installation and kits listed in the description of the video are designed for your stock housings. If you installed an aftermarket projector housing in your vehicle, no, the kit may not work. However, if you left your housings stock, yes, the kit will work.
@DarylChangs7 жыл бұрын
No what I meant was what if the car came with a projector and halogen bulbs from the company. Would it work in that case?
@PrecisionLED7 жыл бұрын
I am not sure what you are trying to explain. Our kit would just be the bulb and the ballast. We do not sell housings. Our kits are only compatible with stock housing, regardless if it is reflector or projector.
