The problem you may be having with the splatter could be you have the polarity backwards. You should have the ground clam on the positive connection and the fun on negative. Some welders let you hook it up both ways.
@jesseserfling68076 жыл бұрын
CryinBranston yes true but most flux core setups are ac not dc.
@elesjuan6 жыл бұрын
Changing electrode positive to electrode negative doesn't change the current from AC to DC or DC to AC. GMAW steel is always DC. You'd only use GMAW AC for aluminum. Ergo, Fluxcore GMAW is still going to be DC current.
@jesseserfling68076 жыл бұрын
elesjuan ok the gun should always be negative and the clap should be positive except when welding super thin steel. No one said changing the polarity would make it ac. Please read before you coment. Ac is used for aluminium and also flux core wire. But he is having a splatter problem and most likely has the polarity backwards

They dont have that low down torque because of how they are factory tuned. If you put a aftermarket pipe and/or reeds it will change where the bike hits PB, you can make it hit down low if you want too, thats why they are ordering a vforce3 reed cage to change the powerband to hit smoother throughout the whole rev range.

I can't really say much about the setup of your new machine as I've never used the everlast mig.. However, it seems to be configured for post-flow gas. When you release the trigger, it'll continue to flow some gas after the arc has finished to continue cooling/shielding the weld. Personally.... Even as cheap as C25 gas is, I'd turn that off. Your current welding style isn't really benefiting from that anyway, so you'd save some gas by disabling post-flow gas. :) So far I'm loving my powertig 210ext. Seems like it was a good purchase! Hopefully these things hold up! I'm looking at maybe getting the PowerPlasma 60s machine next!

Just a little constructive criticism.. you should really get a better logo, you'd sell a lot more merch. Right now it's just some letters thrown together. You need something to represent what you do, what your channel is all about. Picture of a kart, engine, buggy, tools, bikes, tires, etc. Something more than just letters. Trust me on this, been in the logo design biz for 20 years.

When welding, you want it to sound like you are frying bacon. Also, a neat trick to tune in your wire feed, is by looking at the tip of the wire after you've welded, if there is a ball of metal at the end, you're running too much wire. That'll eliminate that spatter issue
