$900 for suspension is sufficient on the 300L and Rally. If you planned on racing it on a MX track, that would be a different story.

Sorry for the late response and thanks for watching. What brand do you recommend or are you referring to here? My head hurts from reading forums…

@ I went with Ktech and was extremely satisfied with their products, and significantly impressed with their customer service. I’m not a very tall guy, and so I decided on a company that offers a lowered version of the rear shock like Rally Raid offers, but I didn’t want to pay Rally Raid prices. I can’t adjust my rear shock as easily as one can adjust a Rally Raid shock with a remote reservoir, but luckily I don’t have to do that very often, and I do have the same amount of adjustability on the rear. The front was simple, I just ordered the upgraded spring that was designed for my weight. The reason I’m giving Ktech customer service such praise is because they were there for me throughout the process. When lowering the rear of a bike and setting up the suspension and sag, there are some things to take in account to get everything geometrically correct, like adjusting the front suspension to compensate for the lowered rear. It wasn’t very technical once it was said and done, but getting their professional advice was worth its weight in gold. My bike is 1 inch shorter in the rear, and 7mm shorter in the front. Which is almost exactly what it was like with the stock suspension when I sat on the bike, when it comes to touching the ground. But you don’t have to worry about all that if you go with the standard version and you’re ok with the bike sitting slightly taller than stock. I love the suspension. I haven’t hit any MX tracks with it, but I have jumped some steep ditches and gullies and never bottomed out.
