It's a nice crash bar but pls OutbackMotortek, could do a small alteration to the design? It goes in front of the AFRICA TWIN logo on the sides & that's it kills me because to watch & have on my bike. Now don't get me wrong i'm not saying it not good, you designed the crashbar to protect the bike from any lowside crashes or droppings. just sayin. Keep up the good work.

Am I seeing it correctly that OM recommends cutting the the left front side of the original skid to fit, but the final pic in the OM cutting instruction link shows left front skid plate side basically floating in the air, not anchored to anything with the open bolt hole? If not bolted to anything when that hits something. then it is possible that upper front quarter of the skid will bend back right into the open engine behind it. Hoping I'm just not understanding. These instructions sometimes leave off removal of parts before or installation of parts after. -thanks

Hi are these bars powder coated or what sort of paint are you using. About the frame base have you decided how to protect the original paint on the frame. Have you started production yet.

We powder coat all our products. The frame is protected. We put silicone (clear) film on the crash bars to avoid direct contact with the frame since 2016 (CRF1000L).

would i be able to reach my air filters if these are installed? or should i remove them? how about the middle crash bars? do i need to remove those also for air filters?

We haven't tried on the 1100 version but on the 1000 (almost identical) we could remove the plastic panels to change/clean the air filters with the lower crash bars (middle piece) installed. With the upper bars installed, it's probably not possible unless one is willing to risk of scratching up the plastic panels.

Buongiorno oggi ho provato a montarle e ho riscontrato dei problemi , ovvero il diametro delle barre del paraserbatoio è inferiore di quello del paracilindri e quindi nel punto di aggancio non combaciano molto bene. Un altro problema è che da una parte il paraserbatoio è ben distante dal serbatoio , mentre dall’altro lato è quasi appoggiato . Aspetto un vostro riscontro , buona serata.
