"L" means legal, as in street legal

I like that it has fuel injection, is liquid cooled, quiet, and has 6 gears.

the CRF250L was really meant for the Asian market which 250cc is considered high end bike and insurance shoot up beyond 250cc. Therefore, 250L is just after thought market in America and Europe

its a great lil bike but at over $5grand i think its way to expensive for a 250,when for another $1000. you can buy the xr650l..if that 250l cost $3500 that would be a good deal..

***** the 650cc more than compensate a 250cc with FI. The 650L is only about 25 lbs heavier considering it is 400cc bigger than 250cc

Honda has been making dual purpose bikes since the 1970's, it is not a new concept. Too bad they (Honda, Yamaha, etc) lost their way and forgot how to make dual purpose bike.
