From what I know, just because there is no check engine light doesn't mean there are no error-codes being thrown in the ECU and putting the bike into a different (emergency)map. My Nuda 900r for instance had a defective exhaust sensor from factory. Noone knew until I got the ECU tuned and my mechanic found the error codes. The bike had been running fine in a secondary map for years.

Should there be some resistor between those if you pin the connectors together to not change the ignition map?
@Streamlines9 ай бұрын
@@J8zzy ideally you will want a dedicated product from a manufacturer like heal-tech that does what you need it to do. Often times simply putting a resistor might work but it is not a guarantee. Unless you really know what you're doing and want to be sure, buy a product.

I think this is incorrect. To my knowledge, the PAIR system is 'Open' by default, not closed. The solenoid's function is to shut the air supply off at the correct times, not to open it up, so unplugging it will allow the air to flow into the exhaust port even more. A simple solution to stop the PAIR system is to put a marble into the hose from the air box then reattach the hose to the air box. No air can get through; the PAIR system stops operating.

Did the same thing with a 11mm bearing steel ball, works just fine.

It looks like you have a potential problem (like I had)..the rad guard mount will eventually puncture your tank as the mount digs into your gas tank...I had to custom make my rad guard longer so I could put the mounts further away from the tank (weld on an extention to the "wing". It already looks like you have dents already

I suppose now ur pair solenoid won't close and air is going through all the time
@incredibleadventures10272 жыл бұрын
True. The valve is open by default and closes at high RPM. Unplugging the solenoid will just leave it open all the time. This will not work. A better solution is to plug up the hose coming from the air box so no air can get in no matter what the valve is doing.

Unplugging the evap and the pair valve would that be ok to keep them hooked up? Im doing the full exhaust with 550 stage 1 ecu.
@TheZakkmylde Жыл бұрын
So if I get it right, just unplugging it is enough. Do you need to get the block off plate and remove those hoses or is just disconnecting that connecter good enough
@pommeybiker Жыл бұрын
disconnecting the power is good enough really, but you may get a check engine light unless the ECU is flashed to clear the light. I havent done this, but ive heard that sticking a paperclip in the plug terminal clears the check engine light. Do this at your own risk however

A few months ago , i deleted pair valve (just to check how it is) by just blocking the airbox and the tube to the pair valve. I noticed that t Rattle was gone! But the engine was shutting down while driving, many times .. maybe 3 per day.. Then i reinstalled everything in place, and yesterday i got and installed a compete pair valve deleted kit including a plug connector (maybe with a resistor?? i guess). Today the engine also shut down twice..... The only mod in the crf is a full exhaust .. Any thoughts about?do i have to do any other mods so it wont shut down again? (Crf300l 2021 EU)
@pommeybiker Жыл бұрын
reinstall everything back to stock and see if its still shuts down, that would be a better diagnostic for isolating. I havent had any issues with this. Do you have the charcoal canister with your country model? Do you fill the petrol tank to the top?. Have you done any air box mods or used prefilters? If you return to complete stock and it still shuts down, you know your looking for another issue, likley basic. Like a wire with a bad ground. Hard to tell. But the first thing to do with an issue like this is to put everything back like you found it and monitor the situation before adding more layers of complication. I think your problem is likley something else

@@pommeybiker i reinstalled everything stock and no shut down.. I think its the o2 sensor that reads reach gasses and cut off fuel in low rpms.. i think i should delete o2 together.. also in europe there is still no ecu tuning for eu models . (I have just a full "pro circuit" Thailand exhaust with no other mods) I wante to install an aftermarket air filter but im afraid that it might work too lean without ecu remap
@pommeybiker Жыл бұрын
@@giannisgiannis7202 i have a ECU that cleared the check engine light when the pair valve is removed, perhaps thats why i dont have issues. I still run the O2 sensor, its a good thing to have, but its been tuned to suit the mods
@giannisgiannis7202 Жыл бұрын
@@pommeybiker i didnt have a check engine light when pair was deleted .. just engine shutted down in low revs sometimes. Thats because there is no extra air in exhaust and o2 sensor thinks exhaust gasses are rich... Its a logical explanation i think. Maybe in non eu models ecu is smarter and controls air fuel ratio better...
@giannisgiannis7202 Жыл бұрын
@JESSIE JAMES well i dont run my bike with pair valve deleted. Everything is in place (expept my full exhaust), and i wait for an 02 sensor delete kit to be produced , so i delete pair valve and 02 sensor together.. I wish that 550 performance ecu include eu models soon. (When i disconnect 02 sensor, i have check engine light)
