Great video! After watching this I immediately called my local mechanic and had him do it. I would have ran out of curse words replacing it.

How did he get the alternator out, while leaving the top long bolt in place, without removing the overflow reservoir
@scrapdaddysgarage50278 ай бұрын
I loosened the bolt, but you can’t take it out, if you watch carefully you will see the bolt is still in the alternator when it is removed from the car. Thanks for watching!

I did alternator on my 07 and girlfriends 04 this year and did my starter last year. You might be in for both soonish.

Aren't there bolts on the bottom of the plenum? Thanks
@scrapdaddysgarage50278 ай бұрын
Just what you see from the top, only a wire is attached on the bottom. Thanks for watching.

The bolts on the bottom of the alternator are easy to strip.

Mine both broke off. Luckily, with some PB Blaster and vice grips they came out. The starter and alternator on these cars is a nightmare.

I've been workin on this for 2 days now N I still can't get it.. I'm basically stuck on getting the intake manifold off. I got everything unplugged N loose but it's like it still won't come out
@scrapdaddysgarage50276 ай бұрын
Not alot of room to remove it, I twisted it to the side just enough to get the alternator out. I feel your pain, hang in there and thanks for watching.

Well I finally got it reinstalled but didn't fix my problem😭😅 still having a weak start and won't even kick over.

I have 2005 crv, I think the engineers who did this to us should be forced to fix these cars. Just to change the belt is a night mirror.
