HONDA CRX RWD TESLA CONVERSION - EPISODE 1

As many of us who are looking to do our first EV conversion, this sort of video is priceless. Thanks so much for sharing. The only thing I can contribute is that I am a Mechanical Engineer turned high school teacher and I am doing my ground work to get either my own EV conversion off the ground or to start an EV conversion club at my school. My project car is a very clean and rare 86 VW Jetta Coupe.

@@andrewwasson6153 it has been alow going. Couple parts Ive needed have been slow to get and a move meant I lost my shop space. Current goal is to have it going by next summer. I have collected everything left needed to finish it so now its just putting it together

375 hp with lots of torque & RWD...Nice thing is, he can move the batteries around to get a good weight distribution ratio. Like 60% rear & 40% front.

When the R34 Skyline pops up 👀. Also these cars weren't hard at all to turn the steering wheel when trying to park. Part of its charm was the feel of the road.

My Dream is my 98 DC2 Integra with the 362hp motor, RWD/Midengined?, using the batteries for weight distribution, and somehow still have AC and power steering that I could potentially enable disable. 2 seater setup, I am just waiting for the next sizable jump in battery tech/pricing atm. 90kWh battery pack would be nice, and I would like to keep the car under 1.5 tons!
