How to change a worn CT 110 timing chain part 2. In this video we fit the cam chain, the tensioner & set the cam timing. All without removing the cylinder head. Plus the mystery of the two extra timing marks on the flywheel is revealed.
If you're having trouble refitting the camshaft, ensure the tensioner plunger has been pushed back to allow as much slack chain as possible. Other causes can be a tight tappet & the cylinder head not torqued down.
Torque Settings - Pulse Rotor Bolt 6-9 ft lbs
Cam Sprocket Bolts 7-9 ft lbs
Guide Roller Bolt 7-10 ft lbs
Flywheel Nut 43-51 ft lbs
Basic hand tools plus a puller (6v or 12v type) for the flywheel, JIS screwdriver, impact driver & JIS bits, a strap or some other means of holding the flywheel when loosening/tightening the nut & a torque wrench.
