Sir I understand you made an upgrade. How can I tell that my selenium rectifier is bad? Is that what I should look at to see if my battery is being chaged? How do I test the rectifier to see if the battery is charging?

you can test the output of the alternator by putting the leads of a volt meter across the positive and negative terminals of the battery while the engine is running you should see greater than 6.5 volts@ 1100 rpm, but less than 8 volts. if you get more than 8 volts you risk boiling the battery if lights are not used to reduce some of the excess alternator output

Its so hard to find the 3 wire rectifier for a 67 ct 90 where did you get it?

A 25 amp bridge rectifier was used in the upgrade. You can find them on Amazon or Ebay

You may well need a regulator now that you have made the charging system more efficient... to prevent the battery boiling off it's water....

@@mikewalton5469 6.9 to 7.2V is what you should target . Search eBay for "6V regulator rectifier" for a simple and cheap solution.

@@mikewalton5469 looks fine, but you'll need to build an enclosure and it's expensive...
