Thanks Honda for a brilliant solution to a problem that doesn't exist. looks vulnerable and an expensive part to replace, plus an extra 2 KG to cart around. On a positive note, city riders might find it useful.

Suppose you want an up & down quickshifter. Would you rather have this, or ride by wire?

Quick shifters are worth about a second a lap. I don’t race anymore so that’s another thing I don’t need on the road. I have ride by wire on my cb1000. All it dose is close the throttle when I want to go faster and override my commands.

alot of the sport bikes out there already have to speed shifters in them..but you only can shift with out the cutch after you shift into 2nd gear

Why not just use DCT? So many alternatives. Could even just leave it alone.
