DUDE! After owning one for 20 years, "This car is the definition of Useful". I'm so glad someone else has taken time to make this type of video. BTW this was on my recommended page lol.

It's a utility vehicle only...and a great vehicle for many reasons. Just maintain it and love it. Yeah I have one 06 awd it's the best vehicle I have ever owned.

I like the element and agree its very versitle, but a few things you glossed over: Gas mileage is sub par- 24 hwy. This vehicle has not been made since 2011 so parts aren't necessarily abundant. And again with a 15 to 20 year old car -check for rust on the frame especially in the NE. Finally in looking at pricing recently (Autotrader) I see a real dichotomy, if its over 200K in mileage you might find it for under $7k but I see lots of examples with under 200K miles at prices over $12K, but maybe thats just here in the PNW where awd is very in demand.

I could get 30mpg if I kept it below 70 and used the cruise control. Remember, it has the aerodynamics of a brick. Drag increases exponentially as the speed increases.

Good job on the video. One thing you didn't touch more was the moon roof part. Thats another thing unique about Honda Element and very useful.

Thanks for doing the video. You did a pretty good job for a non owner. Just a few corrections for you. The SC is actually more valuable than the others because of scarcity. The seatbelt change in 07 is a very critical change to the vehicle and should be considered when looking at buying an element. Also there have been other trim levels. The DX had the steal wheels I believe LX had the hubcaps. The SC wheels are 18 inches and look better than the other wheels in most people's opinions. Lastly, please quit bashing on EVs until you own one. I have 4 Elements and one Tesla. I drive the Tesla 80% of the time(because it's 80% cheaper to drive with Gas at $5.50 a gallon and my electricity at $.012 cents a KWh. The SC I drove the rest of the time because it's a great around town car but, it now gone off to college with my son. The Element is the most durable car I've ever met hence the reason for owning 4. I will always own at least one. I met a tire delivery guy that had 605K on his. 3 transmissions but only one engine.

Those rear doors are horrible in a tight parking lot, whether for rear passengers or loading/unloading of items. I own one and know first hand.

I love the barn doors but I didn't at first. Our camping element @jamper_element makes the best us of them by acting as dressing room walls in the campground.

@dankmazzi2376 who said I didn't like my Element? I was stating a fact. If you don't like that, then you just don't like it. Idc.

Yep, just the nature of the design. Pick-ups with the same cab design have the same issue. The E is an SUV with the accent on the U. Entering/exiting the back seat is not the easiest. Since it was mostly my wife and me, I took the back seats out and used it mainly as a subcompact van. At that, it excelled.
