One thing to note: as the instructions say, DON'T change the 120 volt/240 volt switch while the generator is running

Purchased the same Generator and Anderson Hitch this year as we purchased a fifth wheel earlier this year. Absolutely love both items and wouldn't change either. Generator is a start it and walk away machine, hassle free!

These are way over kill for rv use any more. No one needs 240 v in an rv, you can parallel 2 3500 watt generators with the new 50 amp parallel kits for half the price with remote starts.

Scott Falkner I’ll take over kill any day and spend a few extra bucks knowing I’m good

Scott Falkner, I wanted to get one I could use for many uses if needed. Our house, multiple campers if needed, etc. Living in a pretty rural area we have been know to loose power for a day or two during bad winter storms. I also didn’t want to have to lug around two different generators. Before we purchased our camper we researched two vs one ac and everyone said do two if you can. Living in the south it can get very hot in the summer and one ac unit for a 42’ camper would not work very good. Thanks for commenting, everyone has different needs and wants. I purchased off a little of both!! 🤙🏻🇺🇸

@@tumbleweedking5668 you can run you're whole house including central ac and heat with a 240 volt generator. It does not put 240v into RV you cant do that

Dude i have the same genny and i always keep it on the truck bed like you but one time on my rv our CO alarm went off i dont know how the carbon got inside but this was like at 4am it woke us up becareful Always have CO alarms inside rv. It saved our lives.
@5wsalescompany7885 жыл бұрын
dannyboy9254 Yes, it worked great. We had someone about 500 yards away with a normal Generac generator up in the mountains and it would scream late into the night. Ours you could barley hear it running. This thing is very nice! CO detector is a must! Thanks for commenting.

I just purchased one of these but I can’t find the screws to connect battery. Where are they? Did Honda forget to put it in the box? What size are the screw needed to connect battery cable to terminals? Anyone please help.

Looking at same generator how does it ride in the back of your truck doesn’t get in way of fifth wheel when turning
@5wsalescompany7885 жыл бұрын
Jon Landreth, we have the Anderson hitch so I only know how it works with it. It does ride good between the hitch and front of the bed. One tire does sit inside the square frame that sits flat on the bed. It works just fine for us when we are traveling to and from our destination. We do not have an issue with the Anderson hitch and generator even coming close. If we are not hauling our Can Am defender in the back of the toy hauler we will typically keep the generator there. Some people think it’s overkill on the generator but I don’t care at all. This generator by far has exceeded what I expected. It’s efficient, so much more quieter than anything else out there especially for its size! Thanks for commenting! 🤙🏻

Can anyone tell me if you can drive a 50amp RV circuit with one of these?
@5wsalescompany7885 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely. We have used our 50 amp plug with that adaptor in the video and it worked great. We ran both AC units, microwave, water heater, charged devices and I believe the most watts I ever saw the generator get up to was 5800. It's super efficient, and ridiculously quiet. It's heavy and a little bulky but for us that doesn't both us a bit. Thanks for commenting.

@@bradleyr34 i meant everyone really needs to watch this video about generator safety kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2LNhWZ3g6qBrKs sorry. I’m not trying to force everyone to watch this. @@manbeastx69 So why doesn't everyone buy Cadillacs instead of Fords and Chevys? Reality, man, reality. Honda and Yamaha are always on the top of the generator list in Consumer Reports and are terrific if you can afford them. A lot of folks just wouldn't have generators if they had to lay out this kind of moolah, though. Not a good idea if you live along the Atlantic or Gulf coast (I do). And so it goes...
@manbeastx695 жыл бұрын
Its funny how you left out the fact that Honda makes cars also and did not make a comparison too them or is it because they are also way better than Fords,Chevy and the Cadillac which is just a GM product all with worse reliability.If you dont have the money now then wait and save till you do but if you're not worth it then that's your fault.
@mso44335 жыл бұрын
@@manbeastx69 Personally, I try to buy American-made if I can, but I wasn't bad-mouthing Hondas. They're terrific, including the cars. That said, I've had GM & Ford stuff all my life and been more than satisfied. Never owned a Honda, though, or a Cadillac. Go ahead and spend your extra $ however you like, and lighten up a little willya?
