Just successfully replaced pump, your video was super helpful, thank you! Glad you mentioned getting 1" cap screws to accommodate the thicker flange. If my key was the same as your key, you were right - the key is rectangular not trapezoidal, and can only fit the right way into the keyway. Tip for others - when removing the OEM pump, go after the 4mm set screw in the keyway first (will need WD-40), then unscrew the pressure relief hose that feeds under the deck, and lastly the four cap screws bolting pump to engine.

I have this exact same washer, but I think the gear oil you mentioned is not filled enough in mine. Do you have the owner’s manual? I can’t find it online for the life of me.

Hey Marcus, I don't have an owners manual for it. If you're talking about the pump's oil, I unscrew the tall plastic "breather" and fill the pump with enough oil to come up to the bottom of the hole then screw the "breather back on. I'll estimate I got around 15 hrs on the pressure washer and only had to add alittle oil to top it off one time. Good luck. btw if you think it's overfilled it'll vent it out through the "breather".

I did this same pump swap and when I start the engine it wants to immediately rev all the way up. Any idea?

Sounds like the governors linkage rod is jammed against something. Double check all the linkages connected to the carb. Good luck Rylan

I did exactly the same process on mine but when I pull the trigger the engine bogs down, once released the engine runs fine. Thanks for sharing!

I have a Honda Pressure Wave PWH2500 with a broken pump. I can't find a replacement pump. Do you know if this one would fit it?

I did a quick search on your model# and came up with this: www.amazon.com/PRESSURE-VERTICAL-REPLACEMENT-REPLACES-PWH2500/dp/B00ZTCVA08 I don't know if it'll fit but if your pump is under the engine ( vertical shaft engine) the pump I used will not fit as my engine has a horizontal shaft. Good luck

@@toddrayarmstrong Thanks Toddy but I had no luck so I bought a new pump from Amazon for $59. It works great. I threw my old one away since I can't believe anyone would actually rebuild one. That was one of the worst designs that I have ever seen.

@@toddrayarmstrong I got it from Amazon and it is the only one they sold that would fit the Honda with a 7/8 inch shaft that was less than 2-inches long. If you have the same engine that I had, it has a short 7/8-inch shaft.
