So get this man. I bought my first street bike on the 4th of July. Iv had dirt bikes my whole life and have rode ALOT. I go to the store literally 1/4 mile from my house to the dollar general. Omw back I get rear-ended by a car this past Tuesday. I'm fine thank God and by the grace of God, but I have a feeling that my bike is totaled. Haven't even paid the first payment on it yet. You talking about heart breaking man. I did everything right . I had just came to a complete stop to wait for two cars to pass so I could turn in and then bam. Becareful out there guys these car riders are blind and ignorant to use.

The thing with litre bikes, even though they are completely impractical, is the way they make you feel when you are aboard. You have top level equipment, with everything being the best of the best. They are just a special place to be. Also knowing that you can blow just about any other vehicle that ever existed into the weeds if the whim takes you is kinda nice too.

@@blessedbethecurse completely agree. It’s same with the zx10rr. The upspec version is for superbike racing they’ve both got lighter internals and such to take the bigger power they make. They gear them so high because people will kill themselves on them if they don’t I know both bikes would get like 3 or 4 teeth on it’s rear sprocket for superbike. Looking at these bikes from the perspective of what’s more sensible and what you’re actually gonna use power wise is not the point. It’s gratuitous power and silliness for it’s own sake. I want one 100% not bc I would in any way be able to get it to even 50% of what it’s capable of but simply for that pure unadulterated yeet myself into the sun energy. On my 4th season with it and I still absolutely love it. I'm in the northeast US so I only have 13k miles on it. Great daily rider and more power than you'd ever need for the street. It really does feel like you're sitting on a 600 until you open the throttle. I love the matte ballistic black too. Comfy, powerful, nimble, sharp looking bike imo. @@andymarston3231 very similar to what I’ve done, remap, titanium full akra exhaust, carbon fibre exhaust hanger, rear sets and tank. I’ve had it measured professionally and it hit 191Hp at the wheel. Absolute weapon. I don’t work very far from my jobs. 10 and 30 mins from my two locations. I’m always on the thing going back and fourth. Only had it 3 months but I’ve taken it to the track and seriously shredded. Phenomenal bike. Matte black with hints of carbon fibre and red detailing looks amazing. I was considering the SP version but a mate of mine has it and although it’s good to be able to quickly select suspension on the fly when you’re on a track day, it’s really not all too different. Great review guys! mine is the same I race em and do occasionally use on the street. My input is below. There are somethings that you ant do yourself on the RRR within the electronics for that reason you cant make the RR a RRR. What I like about the RR is you can make it faster then the RRR for the track as its completely customizable. Only must do on the RRR is get rid of that cheap exhaust and install a ARATA and change pegs and controls for Rizoma. Brake lines would change for braded. RRR is hard work on the track as you have to scream it to get the power out of it which can be challenging existing the Apex. You need t be near pro level to get the RRR to go around the track faster then the RR because of the gearing. You have to keep the revs busting to brake out of the apex and for that reason I would recommend to RR for track and road for most, RRR well if you wanna get professional then its the way to go as you will need very few mods.

I just hope that manufacturers realise from the SP that people actually do like the slightly flashier colour scheme. There were some absolutely amazing designs from around the 90's like the original Fireblade. I would love to have more than two colour options on a modern bike. It's always just the main brand colour or black and always just a flat colour and it's so boring. Seems like the gixxers are the only ones to have at least a little bit of actual design with their paintjobs.

The sp actually did quite horrible on the dyno stock, mapped it's really solid but comes choked from the factory......think Chris Moore did a dyno on it too... Stock honda is good enough, for extra 12k you can do quite a bit to stock one, plus still have manual suspension

could we make a old spirited fireblade with the goodness of the new one ? or even a naked fireblade, like keep almost everything as is, minus ergos, would not be as flashy but whatever, would make waaay more sense to own

What are the wires going to the top of the fork on the fireblade? Is it electronicly dampened and controlled or something?

there were a few times you said "once the valve opens" the fireblade picks up, are you saying the fireblade has v-tech and the 1000R doesn't?

He’s referring to the servo exhaust valve that opens around 8k rpms. I ride a 2021 RR, incredible machine. Yoshimura Alpha sounds amazing on for any CBR owners out there wondering.

This title is fake news. The extra R is really an extra R plus an "SP". The regular triple R didn't come to the US yet but it's supposedly coming for next summer and going to be around $20 grand. The SP is an actual race bike that no one needs for the street.

@pmwaffle9348

Because it’s a completely different bike. As yammie said, the frame and swingarm is completely different along with the engine. The standard rr is Honda’s 636, competitively priced and made to be street biased.
