Honda Fit Taillight Assembly Replacement - first gen

I walk through how to remove and replace the rear taillight assembly on a 2007 Honda Fit (this same model is known as the Honda Jazz outside of the US). You need to remove the bumper in order to access locating posts. The tools you'll need for this are: 8mm and 10mm sockets, phillips screwdriver, and flathead screwdrivers to remove the plastic poppers.

Could you get it loose without removing the bumper?

@@Amir.253 I only removed half of the bumber to reach the bolts. This way you can change the light and easily place the bumper back.

Most useful thanks. Some idiot smashed mine sometime today and drove off, unfortunately putting a dent in the panel as well. Not amused, but have a replacement light on the way.

Thx for upload. Have to change mine too, my socket that you plug the bulb into was severely damaged (corroded) by water because the housing broke and introduced water into the assembly. Already have the light housing and bulb, just waiting on the socket!

This is very useful. Thank you man. I need to do the same exercise. Are you sure you need to remove the bumper to replace the taillight? This guy seems to make it without the bumper removal though its seems tricky at the bottom kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4iyg3evmNp7qtE. Can you also post a link on the exact socket you are using to remove the 3 internal bolts?
