Doing my quad now, and have watched numerous video's on "how to". I have to say yours is the most well explained, and easiest to follow. Excellent job. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing this video. A couple tips for future reference, I used the old seals to install the new seals. They fit nicely over the seal lip and it makes them easy to install without possible damage from the drift. Also, I add extra grease over the bearing after it's installed then I packed the seal and add grease between the bearing and seal after the seal is installed.

Over 13 thousand views and only one Thank You, now you have two at least. I thought it was a great video and particularly liked the fast forward redundant parts. The volume was a little low but don't let the constructive criticism take away from the fact that it's a great video. I haven't done this before on an atv but it's just like my Chevy and wanted to take a look before I did it. Thank You.

Hello, I found that my front wheel bearings were shot on my 500 Rubicon. I found your awesome video and it saved me! Thank you so much for posting this video. I live at the end of the road here and bringing the quad into a shop is more trouble than the repair itself. Again, Thank you! Cheers!

Good job, I sometimes put my bearings in the freezer for a while, it shrinks them enough where they will go in w/o much pounding.

Excellent video! Short and to the point! Will be using this as a reference again tomorrow working on mine! Wish you'd do one on changing the inner and outer tie rod ends on this foreman! As they seem to be impossible to access!

Any idea of bering and seal numbers? Or do you have to buy genuine stuff

This isn’t the same quad but the bearing setup is basically the same, but I have a Kawasaki prairie 400 and I ordered a new bearing and axle kit from east lake but it only came with one seal for each wheel. Would I be ok just greasing the hell outa the outer one that didn’t come with the seal and leave it?

What's a good brand of bearing? I see too many on ebay & Amazon 😅

Hi, I have to ask how you hammered the top ball joint out? I hit the bottom of mine hard and hit the nut hard and it didn't budge. I can't even figure out how to hit the top one. That seems to be the most important step you left out in your video. The video was good except for that part that I couldn't do.

At 2:11 I show where to hit the knuckle to break the top ball joint loose, Same as hitting the knuckle to break the bottom ball joint loose

good explanation...thanks...I am trying to help a customer whos ATV was stolen two months after she bought it. She got the ATV back but in pieces referring to the plastic kit and the metal small brackets I guess that is what they are called. Do you know where I might find a schematic to where they might go? I've also got to replace a CV boot in the front, but first I have to clean it to see what I'm looking at. This Honda is a 2005...is there much of a difference with the panel arrangements??? Thanks in advance
@brn2ride7884 жыл бұрын
You could look on Partzilla for parts schematics, You could also look on Google images for pictures of that particular model to see how the plastics go

I’ve replaced the left bearing twice now on my 03 rubicon, once with a OEM Honda bearing and once with a All balls racing bearing, and I still have up and down play, any thoughts? Yes they were correct bearings and the cv shaft was torqued to spec and then sum, something I noticed was that the bearing went into the knuckle very easily, worn out knuckle maybe? Any ideas help, thanks
@ryanbishop22953 жыл бұрын
Probably a worn out knuckle. And when you say you torqued it properly and then some, that means you didn't torque it properly. Too much and it overloads the bearing.

Anybody else finding it impossible to get the snap ring out ? The pliers just keep slipping out of the holes over and over and over
@diyguy23834 жыл бұрын
Why didn't you grease the seals? That rubber on steel is not going to stay sealed for very long man. Been there alot on the rear axle.
@brn2ride7884 жыл бұрын
Don’t know how I missed that, I always lube up seals. Defiantly put grease on the seal
