But something about the fury makes for a fun ride. "It's funner to ride a slow bike fast then a fast bike slow" comes to mind. The raider can get away from you if you're not careful.

@savagemako175 жыл бұрын
First off, love the videos. You're a young, hustling guy who's having a good time with his hobby and making a little money too. Great deal!! Someone mentioned it but the comparison would have been perfect if you had a stryker up there. I know...you compared what you had and they're all motorcycles, so they have a lot going for them right off the bat. A couple of points. The fury motor looks entirely different and much better in the blacked out version (cylinders blacked out, everything else is chrome). In my mind, pure Art Deco, and beautifully done. The only thing it lacks are the pushrod tubes, which both the Harley and Yamaha have. They do add to the detail, no doubt. I think the best motor in this group is the Yamaha. They're strong as hell, well built, sound great and are Yamaha reliable.The one and maybe only thing Yamaha gets wrong on a lot of their bikes is the appearance of the muffler system on their bikes. The pipes on this Raider look amazingly cheap and "Busy" and were kind of a focal point for me that I didn't like. The Honda pipes stock are a direct rip off of Big Dogs standard muffler from the early 2000's. Simple and not overwhelming the engine in appearance...it still sounded pretty good by stock standards. JMO on all of the above. I'm in the market for a 2019 Fury in the darker blue color. The foot forward controls are more comfortable for me now. I've sat on, but not rode a new fury. It looks and feels like a bigger bike when you're on it, but it feels amazingly light hoisting it off the side stand. Very comfortable for me. Hope to have it in a month or two. Amazing riding by the way. It might be easier than it looks, but impressive none the less. Where did you learn this? By making lots of mistakes? Thanks again for ALL your great videos. Nice work!
@JonsMotoGarage5 жыл бұрын
I hear ya 100%, and agree with what you say. Both have some nice features as well as not so nice. The pushrod tubes are what really make the raider motor "pop" to me. Thanks a bunch for watching, commenting, and sharing your insights! Much appreciated!
@miguelsalgado46734 жыл бұрын
Yes your right about the exhaust looking busy, but the fury does not have pushrod covers cause i believe it's not a a pushrod engine, it is overhead cam like many smaller Yamaha's have

@JonsMotoGarage6 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro! Yeah, lots of options, and honestly, you can't really go bad with any of em -- all comes down to personal preference. The key is finding a good deal so if you get bored or change your mind on one motorcycle, you can sell it and get a different one. That's partly how I got started!

Is the Raider a plastic bike like the Fury? Something about plastic just doesn't hold up for me. Maybe I am too old school,but I remember when Honda 50 fairings were made with recycled beer and pop cans I guess that could be considered tin work.

I've owned a few strykers (I should say bought/sold). I think the profile makes em look a bit wider, but the tanks are much narrower when sitting in the pilot's position. Personally I like the girth of the raider more for the "hot rod/chopper" look. But the stryker has a good balance and power to weight ratio for a wider spectrum of riders. The raider seems to be reserved more for those who have some experience under their belt, even though I think it could be the perfect starter bike for some people. Thanks again for watching and commenting!

Jon quick question. I had a warrior 1700.. was curious how the fury does against the raider in terms of power (acceleration, torque, top speed) and handling (flickablity and which can lean more) and do you know if the fury has a good aftermarket ?
@JonsMotoGarage5 жыл бұрын
Hmmm...I didn't get on the raider too much as far as performance goes (cause I knew I was going to sell it). I'd say the warrior is the best of the three (raider, fury, warrior) in terms of overall performance (both handling and speed, etc). I would venture to say the raider and warrior are closest in terms of power. The fury is zippy but I wouldn't consider it a power house. Not sure on the aftermarket side to be honest. Sorry I couldn't be of more help there. Thanks for watching and commenting! Ride safe!

@@thebeardlessbiker5500 There's an even bigger gap - the raider is a 1900! You're spot on though. The Stryker bs fury is a much fairer comparison. These just happened to be the two I had in the garage at the moment. The crazy thing is I actually had a few people debating between the three (raider, fury, and stryker), when I was selling the raider, despite the difference in size. I think they overlap a bit because of the chopper(ish) styling.
