@@HooptieDoodle I just picked up a GL1200 Interstate, planning to strip her nekkid and do a small subset of the mods you have done on her. Stator first...

@@kastimizillion good call doing the stator and good luck with all the mods 👍.

Great series of videos I have just bought a gl1000 to cafe racer and found them more than interesting, one thing I have found out during my bike customising antics is how much money you save with a running bike, I always pay the extra now, after losing my shirt to repairing non runners, keep up the good work 👍

I learned the 'running bike rule' the hard way - but I'm with ya now! :) Best of luck with the cafe!

You forgot to bend the "Tab" that Holds the clutch nut in place
@LdawgHughes9 ай бұрын
My starter clutch magnetized the dealer said just replace the spring berrings and caps and not the entire assembly and had the same issue I think I should have done the whole assembly

Are we going to get to see this going down the road....or at least in a parking lot?

I'd like to, not sure when though. I am hoping I've got all the bugs out at this point, but I rode it twice and had to fix three things this far. 😦

I’m afraid this is the exact same situation I’ve got on my newly acquired GL1100. I have never worked on a Goldwing before let alone remove the engine! Luckily this video is here to help guide me along. How hard is the engine to remove?
@HooptieDoodle5 жыл бұрын
Removing the engine is easier than removing a car engine - if that helps. The hardest part - the first time I removed the Goldwing engine - was the large bolt that runs through the bottom of the engine and connects to either side of the frame. It was rust locked and I had to heat it with the torch 🔥

Off topic here, what software do you use to make your vids?
@HooptieDoodle5 жыл бұрын
Adobe premiere elements.

So is this before or after you put the stator in backwards? That might have added to some of the issue?

What king of paints do you used on enginblock???
@HooptieDoodle4 жыл бұрын
I used this: www.vhtpaint.com/high-heat/vht-engine-enamel So far it's working great.
