One thing I noticed when doing my clutch fluid yesterday is that the Honda OEM fluid seems to be darker than other brake fluids. It actually has an orange color too it. I replaced my clutch fluid thinking it was bad because of how dark it looked but the brand new still sealed oem fluid is just as dark...

Thanks for the video. Check your sequence though. According to the service manual, it should be the upper left bleeder followed by the lower, right. Then you do the rear lower, followed by the anti-dive and finished with the rear upper. Again that’s what the service manual says anyway.

I just removed the one bolt for the reservoir and moved it out so its easier to get to.

Great job guys... Did exactly like you have shown on the video... worked just great. At first my brake was so low, it could not even brake at all... did the bleeding and it's all good. But i have noticed a small leak on the plunger. Probably the seal.. I will have to replace... Thank you!

I took my 08 1800 trike to dealer . Brakes seamed to work fine to me. But while getting serviced ( I am 70 can't do anymore) . They said there was a recall on rear master cyl. After they got done the brake would pump up like it it had air in the line. But sitting at a light with foot on pedal, it would go down. They don't like trikes they are blaming it on my trike kit brakes (rust on back of pad) I thought this sounded stupid but any ideas

Are you using the foot or hand brake to bleed
@bikerguy58292 жыл бұрын
Would speed bleeders make this job easier?

How come you are bleeding the front calipers for the rear brake? Isn't there a nipple on the rear caliper?
@gogilgau9 ай бұрын
Goldwing has linked brakes, even if you press back pedal only it will apply force to some of the front pistons also. Front brake will also put pressure on rear brakes but less force than front. Essentially, linked brakes have overlapping pistons which is why they have to do some of the front pistons for the back brake pedal. There is also a front ANTI DIVE system to keep the nose more level under braking which is also bled here (didn't even know that one either).
