Only a Gold Wing can cruise smoothly at 180Km/Hr all day and not be out of breath, that's what they are designed for and where else in the world but on the Autobahn can you legally do such speeds, safely. Beautiful to watch. The Autobahn was designed and built to handle these high speeds and long should it remain so. If you don't want to share the roads with these high speed lanes just get into the right lane with all the trucks and drive slowly there. I have driven on the Autobahn many times and it is without doubt the most beautiful highway system ever built. The "Creutz" major intersections are so graceful and make navigation a dream.

The Autobahn is a fantastic roadway. I visited Germany for my first time in June 2024. It was beautiful, the people were so kind ❤, and the food and beers were super. I may have to go again. I topped out at 180 KPH which was fast enough for me in the Audi A3. 😊

Without even riding on the Autobahn, I can tell you, this bike on these speeds, you will not feel a thing. I do, at times, on the NJ TPK, early in the morning, on a Sunday, 110 MPH and she is sooooo smooth, like I do 40 MPH. Just an incredible machine to own.

The Goldwing is limited to 112MPH bout 180KPH. Its a cruiser not a Sportsbike. I'm on my second and never felt the need to go faster.

It's obvious that the Gold Wing is not a racehorse but a touring motorcycle. Even in 1978, when it was still considered a sporty bike, it was pretty clear that it wasn't intended for speed records. But that doesn't matter, the thing is more than fast enough.

tive uma Kawasaki 900cc e já na altura tinha 115cv nova de 11-1987 passava por ti e abanavas, cuidado com a gasolina super de algumas décadas atrás, só esse combustível dava-lhe uma força de perto de 30 cavalos a mais. Fui pra França com 8 meses, e sempre tive moto corri toda a Europa na minha amada Kawasaki quando disse adeus a ele tinha 158000km motor muito resistente amo Kawasaki. cumprimentos e cuidado

I thought it would be faster than that. I used to go 120 on a certain stretch of road on my Kawasaki concours zg1000. The Concours was a heavy bike but not as heavy as your goldwing. Btw, your goldwing looks great!

Nos anos 90 não havia radares entre Porto e Carvalhos na A1; a 180 as curvas ( com os raios de hoje ), tornavam-se apertadas e estreitas e era preciso inclinar muito a mota; forçá-la um pouco com o corpo. Era uma BMW K1...de serviço. Nunca mais voltei a experimentar a sensação. Nessa autobahan parece nem haver curvas...

Dá para ver que vou à velocidade que a mota dá, até tirei a mão direita do guidador para levantar a viseira do capacete e não se passa nada. Se quiser ver o bocado que fiz (só filmei uma pequena parte) foi de Saarbrücken até Schweich pela 1, mas continuava sempre sem limite de velocidade até Daun. Abc,

In Malaysia, the North South highway is probably the best Highway system in ASEAN, aka the autobhan of ASEAN. They are very well build and often we have traffic going over 200km/h. I ocassionaly ride my VFR1200X on it to give my engine a good workout before hitting my limiter at 230km/h.

Couple of reasons for speed limitations. First off there was concern that the sport bikes were getting too fast. Some could reach 300 + kmh (185 mph). Manufacturers dialed it back fearing possible government regulations. Read that the new Goldwing is speed limited due to radiator size. In order to get better gas mileage aerodynamic drag had to be reduced. Easiest way to do that was smaller radiators. So they won't cool at maximum speed.

I am a motorcyclist for 51 years. I have a 2003 JDM Corolla Fielder wagon. It came with a 190HP 2ZZ-GE engine. It easily hits the limiter at 190km/hr !

Se num incremento de 1k rpm aumentou 40kmh, num incremento de 2k rpm chega aos 80kmh, portanto em 6ª tem capacidade de chegar aos 240kmh se o motor tiver força para vencer o atrito e o ar....

I got my licence for a motorbike on my 17th birthday, I had a Honda CB 250. Always wanted a larger bike. Thought a Gold Wing would be my retirement present to myself. However I went through bankruptcy just after retirement. Then my health failed. All a dream now. Thank you for allowing me a glimpse of what it is like on a big bike.

O motivo para a Honda meter limitador, terá a ver com certeza com o limite dos travões... Não é fácil fazer parar um monstro desse tamanho à 240kmh.... Mas para quem faz muita AE deve ser um upgrade espetacular ( limitador off e melhores travões)

Hello! Welcome to the channel! To be completely honest, my Gold Wing has speed limit at 180 or 185 km/h and I knew I would reach easy the top speed. Even in Eco mode it reaches easy the top speed. But I agree in Sport Mode would be better the exhaust sound :)

Why tour and not Sport mode?

Tour mode seems much more adequate since the rider already picked up his speed and is holding it in continuity on a straight road. Sport mode should make the throttle more responsive (better acceleration) but potentially more snappy and since the road is very straight the linear power band of tour mode definitely seems like a good choice. It's a heavy bike at that so why not keep it smooth.

Num país pequeno igual a Alemanha ser comparado a outros países gigantes não vejo motivo não vejo motivo para que tenha uma rodovia sem limite de velocidade! Muitos carros na AutoBAn andam a 300 km e outros a 250 km! É muita velocidade para se arriscar assim mesmo numa pista excelente e com motoristas que respeitam as leis! Eu acho que deveria ter um limite de velocidade de no máximo 160 km por hora! E dane - se os ricos o que pode encontrar carros que andam até 300 kmh !
