T-Bone! that my friend was an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to. What an absolutely amazing mechanic you are, others make it boring, over narrated and sounding difficult, but you my friend make it fun. All your one liners and sayings had me and my mate in stitches 🤣🤣 When that retaining clip went ping I was laughing and I knew Mrs T would eyeball it through space and if she wasn’t filming could have probably caught it and shouted “Howzat!” absolutely loved shop Cat getting in the video. Totally addicted to your channel brother 👍🏻👍🏻

That was a slick way to lap the valves!!
@Rein_Ciarfella Жыл бұрын
I did learn another few things from this video, so thanks to you AND the folks that commented. I learned a couple new ways to lap valves in, either just with a piece of fuel line by hand or chucking the fuel line into my drill. Great stuff! Also gonna try the viewer tip on using a feeler gauge .003 over before tightening the locknut. That’s the first time I’ve ever heard anyone explain why the adjustment changes as the locknut is tightened. Now that I think about it, the threads having .003 play makes perfect sense!

Would the new piston with a longer skirt make for a more quiet running sound? Also where did you purchase the new piston?
@RaleysSmallEngines Жыл бұрын
We are a Rotary Dealer, that's where we get 90% of our parts. I'm sure that's where I got it from. Sorry, I have no idea if a longer skirt will make it quieter. We stick to OEM or Rotary as close as possible to oem.
@philliphall5198 Жыл бұрын
I’ve AllWAYS replaced piston and rod 90% of the time and have never had a problem OEM parts are the best parts Some major brands are very good also and have used a lot of Rotary parts

It's from the customer not changing the oil and running it low on oil

That’s what I thought to but I can’t fathom. Why you would even check the oil 🤔I’ve run my oil way to long to but it gets looked after really close until I can change it

@josephkern408124 күн бұрын
I've noticed with some hunda motors especially Dat one the best way to set the rocker nutz is after you test drag back off the main nut just a hair then tighten the lock nut. I'm not sure if it's the wrenches or the age and wear on the threads. (I literally lost a set of wrenches from throwing them over and over so i bought 2 brand new wrenches to make sure they werent defective the first time I discovered this glitch.😂

Your wondering why you had to adjust your rockers so many times. The big nut threads have about 3 thousands clearance. So you can either add 3 thou before tightening or back the big nut off a quarter turn then tighten the lock nut down. You should be very close.
