Well, this explains when I have not needed to replace my battery yet. I live in Phoenix AZ. When I owned previous vehicles, where the battery was stowed under the hood, I always had to replace the battery every two years when the Arizona heat killed it.

Beware if there is too much difference in charge state between the new battery and the old battery. When hooking up the jumper cables the terminal at the battery and on the car started to smoke. The low battery draws a lot of current from the new battery. Before I was able to disconnect the jumper cable the connection points got really hot.

Great, I can't measure voltage at that jump hookup spot anymore, which means something was fried. This video should be deleted because it includes a potentially dangerous step. The step isn't needed anyway. Without trying to maintain the voltage I just replaced the battery and the car was fine, including the radio.

Hello, I enjoyed watching your video. I would like to know how long it typically takes to replace a car battery in a 2020 model and what the estimated cost of a new battery is. Can you please provide this information? I am considering purchasing a 2020 model with 15,000 miles in my country, and I would like to know the cost of replacement batteries for a Honda Insight EX in case it is needed in the coming years. Additionally, I would like to know how many years I might need to replace the battery. Thank you.

Hi - Thanks for watching! The amount of time it takes to replace the 12-Volt battery will depend on your skill level, but book time is 1/2 hour. You will have to check with your local dealership, shops and auto parts stores for the cost of the battery and replacement.

Hi! i likely have a dead 12V, nothing starts. will replace this one, do you recommend i stick with OEM? i have heard they are not too reliable with hybrid accord. should i can consider alt? or the size is important for the OEM given where it goes...?

Thank you for the video. I had Road departure mitigation system problem Emmission system problem Tpms problem Brake system problem Brake hold syt3m Electric power steering Vsa problem Hill start problem Collision mitigation system all light up. Its turned out that my amg battery that was at 12.33 v was done for. Replaced all codes erased! Dont go to the dealer!

Hi - Thanks for watching! This depends on the vehicle and how it's equipped. We suggest that you check the vehicle owner's manual or a service manual to be sure, and to find out what computer resets would be required if a host battery is not used. We use a host battery so we will not have to reset things like radio stations, GPS and other vehicle operator presets.

How many miles do agm batteries usually last?

Hi - Thanks for watching! It depends on how many miles you drive in a year, what type of climate you live in and where the battery is located. Batteries located inside the vehicle, (in the trunk, under seats, etc.) can last as much as twice as long as batteries located in the engine compartment. AGM batteries generally last twice as long as flooded batteries.
