That just means it’s a laggy turbo for that power, that’s in comparison to say a smaller turbo making 450 hp at 20 psi. The 450hp on a smaller turbo(sized right) would spool up quicker and have a bigger powerband. Not shitting on it cause it’s all on end goals, I’m assuming he’s looking to increase power and he knows he isn’t in the turbos efficient zone. It’s always about end goal. If 500hp is your goal you want the smallest turbo possible(sized efficiently) for the quickest spool up possible for said power. A small turbo on 40 psi for 450hp would dog a big turbo that’s on 5 psi for the same 450hp. The smaller turbo will have the 450hp almost the whole powerband, while the big turbo will only have it at the higher rpm’s. Which for mountain racing you want the smaller turbo to have a wider usable powerband.

@@RagingBullNuts I agree to a point.Smaller turbo aren’t usually efficient 40 psi at 450hp, you’re most likely choking out the turbo and blowing hot air so you’re powerband is not wider.

Sick build but my brain isn’t putting two and two together with that sound coming out of the rx-7…I think it would’ve been cool to see someone do an all motor super high 10.5k rpm 350whp k24/20 rx-7 so that it keeps that high rpm scream

Ye put an f20 engine in there, ez 9000 and if you upgrade cams/valves/valvesprings u can get up to 10k no problem

Nice car, Looks great and awesome to build the car how you like. Now as a die hard rotary fan with 3 FDs, and they will always be Rotary powered, love i how guys do what they want to their own cars. But one thing, that radiator set up, has the car ever been tracked? because that set up is waiting to fail. NO ducting through the radiator and at that angle with no undertray (or was it removed for the show?), the air is simply going under the car. I guess lucky its not a rotary, but even then I can only imagine a few laps at full send at that thing will cook, same with intake temps with that intercooler set up like that, maybe it works and ide say your lucky if it does but never would i have ever built the cooling like that. Otherwise, great build mate and obviously deals with what you throw at it for your use.

SMH like the rotary engine is sooooooooooooo drool worthy...they sound and feel amazing, all you need is a quality tuner, and quality apex seals...they are so easy to the drive train... unnng the bridgeported rotaries...like how could you be dreaming about the rx7 without the brap brap idle, and crazy sonorous, yet agressive, high revving rotary sound? Not my dream, glad the dude is happy...I just smh...like what were you dreaming about my man? Enfin il est etait temps le rx7 et un exellend chassis sauf que le moteur rotatif qui et très rapide casse trop facilement donc un vtec k24 était la suite logique pour cette voitures qui n est qu un merveilleux chassis le rotatif qui a etait inventer par les allemands qui l on donner aux japonais leur homologue qui on réessayé dans faire un qui chauffe trop bois autant d huîle que d essence et casse souvent mais n est bon neuf pour 400 m et faut le changer les allemands ne savent pas construire des moteur pour préuve bmw le 3 cylindres turbo c est un moteur Peugeot en faites le cox c est un 2cv changer le 2cv et née en 39 avec la guerre en non fait le cox les 6 cylindres BMW sont surment des moteur de traction c15 voler à la seconde guerre mondial si personne parle sa va continuer il copie les français en faite mais a l epoque de Napoléon c était des bouseux dans leur campagne qui on voulue devenir pareille que c est chevalier a fusillé sinon c etait des gens qui travailler la terre avec un roi bidon qui coucher a droite ou gauche seule le rois avait la belle vies dans sont châteaux et tout les paysans autour attendait du roi des choses mais lui avait le feux au pantalon seul ca femme avait la tête sur les épaules comme dab les femmes sont plus fortes mentalement 🙏😑🤲🇫🇷👉🤚

A gt35 would make 450 but at 15 psi But probably not whp Maybe at the crank. If it didn't crack the liners. A quick search on a boosted k24 forum gives you all the info needed. So no...not at 9 psi - cheers

You clearly have no engine knowledge to even try knocking the k. There is a reason it's one of the most used engines for swaps in all sorts of cars, rx7 being one of them as its way more reliable than any rotary. Did i mention how the k loves boost? unopened blocks pushing 500+ hp. Its literally one of the best 4cyl engines you can build today.
